Abstract
An attraction toward the night and darkness is analogue to feeling peace in the dark. Those people who love to spend time in the night without the care of world because they think that in the dark no one is going to judge them. They always feel peace in the beauty of night, the moon is always there for them they set under the dark sky and tell their story to the moon and counting star make their heart and mind relax. This is not a disease because it’s a human nature to get attracted by certain things that provide him/her peace. My main purpose to work on this project is to aware people about this condition because I have also experienced this situation. Certain people just think they love to spend time in darkness, but they don’t know it has some scientific term that called nyctophilia. To spend time in the night without the care of world is so positive and peaceful hence I am showing the positive side of this theme. To accomplish this, different boards are designed such as Research board, mood board, forecast board, concept board. Surface design sample are developed such as embroidery sample, embellishments sample and screen printing sample. The garments will be designed for the women wear. In these garments I will show the concept of the darkness. The theme will be shown by black fabric, laces and design elements. My expected outcome is to design the haute couture garments yet wearable, comfortable and useful with unique cutline and motifs.
