dc.description.abstractThe aim of present research was to investigate the relationship between personality traits, masculinity and aggressive driving behavior in adults. It was hypothesized there is likely to be a relationship between personality traits, masculinity and aggressive driving behavior in relationship and masculinity will mediated relationship between personality traits and aggressive driving behavior. It was a co-relational research with the cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 200 adult male drivers with age ranged from 18-55 (M =26.65, SD =6.50). The sample was required from different institutes of Lahore by using non-probability sampling technique. Measures include Ten-item Personality Inventory (TIPI), Masculine Behavior Scale (MBS) and Aggressive Driving Behavior Questionnaire(ADBQ). The results of Pearson product moment correlation analysis showed that extraversion, conscientiousness, emotional stability and openness to experiences were found to be positively significantly associated with masculinity, and masculinity was found to be positively significantly correlated with aggressive driving behaviour. The results of SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) showed that Extraversion, Conscientiousness, Emotional Stability and Openness to Experiences were found to be significant positive predictors of masculinity and Extraversion, Openness to Experiences and masculinity were found to be significant positive predictors of aggressive driving behaviour, while Conscientiousness and Emotional Stability were found to be significant negative predictors of aggressive driving behaviour. The results of indirect effect (mediation) showed that masculinity was significant mediator between personality traits and aggressive driving behavior This research is conducting determine the potential psycho-social factors of aggressive driving so that strategy was planned to reduce the aggressive driving behavior and enhanced the better social perception in men.en_US
