Abstract
The project Railway Intelligent Transportation System is about to develop a driver less and an automatic train system. The basic idea behind this is to facilitate the passengers more efficiently. The term intelligent transport system (ITS) refers to efforts to add information and communications technology to transport infrastructure and vehicles. Interest in ITS comes from the problems caused by traffic congestion. Traffic congestion has been increasing worldwide as a result of increased motorization, urbanization, population, and changes in population density.
We will try to make a prototype of Railway System. In this system, the train will move according to the seats reserved which are maintained in main control system, communicating with train using Wireless Communication. In this system we are introducing a technique to observe track breakage that will enhance the security system. Railway crossing system is also handled intelligently. Congestion reduces efficiency of transportation infrastructure and increases travel time, air, and fuel consumption. The project Railway Intelligent Transportation System is about to develop a driver less automatic train system.
