| dc.description.abstract | Old-age homes are not a regular feature in Pakistani society. However, the concept of old homes and similar facilities is increasing for many reasons. In this research, we have concentrated on Aafiat center, a facility in Narowal that provides shelter to older people who do not have any other place to live. More senior people come here for various reasons, which this research discusses in detail. This qualitative research uses thematic analysis to identify the quality of life in under discussion facility. In addition, participants were interviewed to determine different aspects of their lives. Most residents have been there since their partner died and have no place to live. Moreover, their children are not willing to keep them in their homes. Since there is friction among them or they cannot afford to keep them in homes. | |
