| dc.description.abstract | Pakistan faces a housing shortage due to rapid population growth, and a lack of public services adds to the problem. Currently, the roof/skyline of Lahore shows that housing (Apartment) is not as common as semi-detached houses. This study examines the perception of quality of life in Lahore to create a better understanding of housing and thereby increase its acceptance. A stratified research design was used and participants were residents of Lahore with good experience in equity or interdisciplinary settings. Residential communities and detached houses are the targets. Population surveys show that various factors influence the acceptance of vertical buildings/houses for different dimensions, privacy, size, security, Security is considered the most important thing that affects people living in vertical or apartment in Lahore. The most popular public places near respondents’ homes were shops, public transportation and public parks. According to the survey results, consumers are more interested in the quality and quality of their own areas and communities than in luxury. | |
