RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN OSTEOPOROSIS KNOWLEDGE AND BELIEF OF CALCIUM INTAKE AMONG FEMALE UNIVERSITY GRADUATE STUDENTS

Abstract
Osteoporosis is an emerging, aging-associated disorder with widespread prevalence in many Asian countries. For the protection and maintenance of bone health and prevention of osteoporosis, understanding the relationship between adequate knowledge and beliefs about calcium intake, associated factors, and the disease itself is important. This study determined the relationship between knowledge and beliefs regarding osteoporosis and dietary calcium intake among Pakistani female graduates aged 18 years.
