Abstract
Although Pakistan is a rich country in natural resources but the provision of skilled labor for the industry is essential for its prosperity. Soft projects provide a platform to the populous of a nation for their vocational career and survival for life. This research explores how vocational education and training institutions can educate and prepare well-trained workers for the future by evaluating project management development from the perspective of well-trained workers. Punjab Skill Development Fund (PSDF) provides skills in different trades for 37 districts of Punjab. The study assesses that the criteria of project success for soft projects should be comprised of technical, professional as well as entrepreneurial skill development. Qualitative research has been conducted about the assessment of soft projects (garments stitching training). The study assesses that skills for trainees are beneficial for professional as well as entrepreneurial development of trainees. In this thesis work success of stakeholders is measured and assessed through the distinct dimension “impact on the customer” to gauging the project.
The design for the study is based on interviews that involved six participants, demographically with 15-29 years old, trained students working in their relative field. Finally, conclusions were reached and recommendations made. The aim of this study was to show how the professionalism of students and/or trainees got affected by the technical skills through vocational training. This was an unparalleled success of trainees that mostly challenged people can learn different skill trades, hold jobs, earn a livelihood and live independently in their societies.
This research also addresses the challenge for the professionally developing students through a particular training course in life which enables them to become more competent and professional to play a role in their particular social orders. This study shows that the training of garments stitching is a project-based which starts and ends with a specific time limit by the approval of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), through the Punjab Government by the help of Punjab Skills Development Funds.
