dc.description.abstractAim of this project is to track satellites present in the geostationary orbits, and display the output on some LCD. Basic element of the project is to properly understand the concepts of orbital mechanics, and then use those concepts to track the satellite. Theme behind the execution of this project is to give some measurements in terms of latitude and longitude through PC, using a serial communication technique and then use these arguments to find different angles. Using the extracted angles, remaining hardware portion of the project performs its part, in order to achieve the task of tracking. Control and working of the hardware is performed by microcontroller that acts as the brain of the project. Coding of microcontroller is done in a way, such that there is accurate movement of the motors, used to move the dish antenna, in accordance with the calculated angles.en_US
