dc.description.abstractLocal commercial centers and markets played a significant role in the economics of a region or country and are thus affected by numerous external factors like crime and threats. Through placemaking, the existing scenario of the situation may able the urban designers, planners, and practitioners to evaluate the existing design-based issues regarding security and crimes. However, this methodological approach enables economic activities with creating a sense of place via analytical urban morphological analyses. This design-based study is proposed as a precedent in the local and national context of markets in Pakistan.
