Abstract
Education, unemployment and lack of poverty are deeply related topics that have a significant impact on the quality of life of individuals and social development in general. The aim of this study was to examine the interactions of these factors and to assess the moderating role of social programs in alleviating poverty. A study was conducted in the Lahore and Kasur districts of Lahore, Pakistan, and included a quantitative approach that included data collected by 384 respondents from all households in these districts. Comprehensive information was collected using a structured questionnaire. The findings of this study showed an important relationship between lack of education and lack of employment, both contributing to a higher level of poverty. Furthermore, social welfare programs, while important to support support, have a modest impact on the relationship between unemployment, education and poverty. Although this study highlights that social welfare initiatives play an important role in reducing the negative impacts of unemployment and low-level education, their effectiveness depends on the scope and access of such programs in these areas. Finally, the research highlights the need for targeted social policies that take into account the fundamental causes of poverty. Thus, the focus on education and employment is a key area of intervention
