Abstract
A daycare center that goes above and beyond conventional models to give kids a stimulating, caring, and inclusive atmosphere. In addition to helping children's growth and development, the daycare facility helps working parents balance their personal and professional life by accepting diversity and serving a range of age groups. the goal of the project is to construct a technologic, all-children hospitable daycare center in Izmir Town, a district of Lahore that has one and twos maisonette original open pattern. For the children of different ages, it provided a warm environment that enables children to grow, learn and foster their early years development. The main subject of the design is a realistically depicted plant located in the middle of the daycare area to convey a natural and calm atmosphere. The layout, which is partly open and brings the
maisonette design, allowed young people to engage and get involved in the space. The location of the building is quite unique as its roof is designed to be open to the sky, thus, an excessive amount of natural light gets into the interior, making people more aware of the environment. Also, the infrastructure around it has being planned in such a manner that caters for the different needs of kids at different developmental cycles. Many of these are play zones, study nook areas, and sensory zones are also an option. As for the other courses, eco-awareness and sustainability are also highlighted as essential. Besides the aesthetic value of this decor, there is a plant in the middle of the building that has a function of air filtration and at the same time, it affects the upbringing of kids, making them care about the environment. By incorporating natural aspects and environment features of the surrounding outside area, children can form relationship with the nature and gain appreciation toward environment. It is thus important that the center and its programs are closely coordinated with parents and the neighborhood. This means that through family meetings, holding of workshops and ensuring that the parents and the child have constant interactions will help to ensure that parental involvement is enhanced. It will also involve partnerships with the local firms and organizations that will provide additional opportunities and equipment to the kids. In conclusion, this thesis design project aims at offering an all-embracing and sustainable daycare center at Izmir Town, Lahore. With an emphasis on child care, accessibility to everyone regardless of disability, and the promotion of sustainability, the institution is committed to establishing a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere that enhances early education.
