Abstract
In this thesis, the expression for the field and the shear stress for the Jefferey’s fluid flowing between two vertical walls over an infinite plate that applies accelerated shear stress to the fluid are evaluated with the help of Laplace transformation and Fourier double sine and cosine transforms. After getting the general expressions for the velocity flow field and shear stress, velocity fields and shear stress are obtained in the following cases. (1) When infinite plate exerts an oscillatory shear stress to the fluid. (2) When infinite plate exerts a constantly shear stress to the fluid. (3) When infinite plate exerts an accelerated shear stress to the fluid.
