Abstract
Extrajudicial killings represent a critical challenge to the foundational principles of the rule of law in contemporary society. This thesis explores the multifaceted implications of extrajudicial killings on the erosion of the rule of law, examining their prevalence, causes, and consequences within the context of various legal and political frameworks. By analyzing case studies and empirical data, the research sheds light on the systemic issues contributing to the perpetuation of extrajudicial killings and their impact on judicial independence, human rights, and public trust in legal institutions. Furthermore, the thesis investigates international perspectives and comparative legal analyses to propose strategies for mitigating extrajudicial killings and restoring the rule of law. Ultimately, this study underscores the urgency of addressing extrajudicial killings as a fundamental imperative for upholding justice, democracy, and human dignity in contemporary societies.
