A nitrotyrosine Site Prediction Technique based on composition and position based features
    (UMT, Lahore, 2015) Samia Azam
Nitration of tyrosine residue results in production of nitrotyrosine. Elevated levels of nitrotyrosine in body can cause various disorders like septic shock and celiac disease. Several Tyrosine sites can be found on a single poly peptide chain. It is desirable to determine which site is susceptible to nitration and which is not. The article endeavors to form a computational model that is able to predict nitrotyrosine sites in a protein. It is seen that the model performs well as compared to other state of art models for nitrotyrosine prediction.

CROWD TRACKING AND SIMULATION OF HAJJ PILGRIMS
(UMT, Lahore, 2015) MUHAMMAD SAAD AKHTAR
Every year 3 to 4 million pilgrims visit hajj and the management of such a huge crowd is a real time issue. Saudi Arabian government is improving hajj facilities using technology but this is insufficient because disasters like stampede, fire etc. which results in loss of life are happening almost every year. It is need of day to implement most emerging technology of IoT in order to improve and enhance hajj facilities. We are proposing a crowd management framework which will facilitate pilgrims to connect with each other and with higher authorities. Moreover, it will help authorities to monitor crowd density using heat map layers and polygons of google maps. During hajj every pilgrim will be connected with our main server through heterogeneous devices and sending data after specified time interval which leads to the idea of big data. So this framework will facilitate pilgrims with the provision of IoT and big data for smooth performance of hajj rituals.
