Item Trolling, self-concept, interpersonal difficulties, and coping in university students(UMT, Lahore, 2022) Neelam AfzalThe aim of present research was to investigate the relationship among trolling, self concept, interpersonal difficulties and coping in university students. Mixed methods research design was used. This study was conducted in two phases. In Phase I, 30 women were approached and In- depth interviews were taken, written and transcribed. Items were collated and validated by experts. Effect of trolling scale was developed and psychometric properties were established. Factor analyses revealed three factors named social withdrawal, loneliness and low- mood. In phase II, 100 participants with the age range of 18-25 years (M, 20.74 SD, 1.85) were given self-concept scale (Hussain & Rizvi, 2016), interpersonal difficulty scale (Saleem et al., 2014). and coping scale for university students (Irshad et al., 2012). Result suggest that there is negative relationship among trolling, positive self- concept and solution-focused coping and positive relationship among effect of trolling negative self-concept, interpersonal difficulties, emotion-focused coping and spiritual coping. The results were discussed in the light of cultural factor and implication for counselling services.
