Item Maasai mara(UMT.Lahore, 2022) M. Zain KhadimKenya is an iconic Africa Safari destination and home to the Maasai tribe. the Maasai are well known for their unique culture and tribal dresses. the Massai originated in the lower nail Valley, Central Tanzania and northern Kenya during the 17th and 18th century. the Maasai Mara got its name from the local people who called the land which means “splled” in Maa . Maa is the name given to the Maasai language. Clothing various sex, age and place young men wear black for several months after their circumcision. although red is a favourite colour among maasai black ,blue checked and stripped cloth are also worn together with multi colored Africans garments. In the 1960 the Maasai begin to replace sheep skin hides and animals came for more medical materials “ cotton”. The cloth used to wrap around the body is called “shuka” in the maa language. I am inspired by their red checked dresses the beaded jewelry. they wear simple dresses and heavy beaded jewelry. There way of living is so simple. I wanted to experiments with simple dresses to change them into modern dresses .Maasau people did not use seam lines, darts cut lines etc. they just tie a knot by folding the fabric and the wear it and hold at fabric by using belt now I will give them cut lines dart seam lines and ease allowance etc.Item Avatar(UMT.Lahore, 2022) MINHA ARSHADSoul of Pandora is inspired theme from the movie Avatar. Avatar describes the importance of nature and environment by fantasize Earth plant structure and convert into alien plants which destroyed by humans. Nature world of this movie called Pandora has its own soul. Soul gives us life or we say that soul gives every living thing chance to Live. Even nature has its own soul which helps nature to exist and provide other living things chance to live in it. Soul of Pandora focus on the nature world. Firstly I research on the world of Pandora which is not just fantasize world but it also made by humans on earth for adventures. All the alien plants in it are the fantasize look of earth plants. I create all the boards according to my theme like research board, mood board, concept board and color palette. Color palette of my theme is the poison colors. The colors we used for poison because Pandora world is poisonous world for humans. Then I create different textile surfaces according to my theme. I create the texture of plant surfaces as well as the surfaces of creatures used in it. Then I create some embellishment and embroidery surfaces which enhance the textile surface and add some fantasy look. Next step is the making of digital surfaces. I create abstract surfaces with animal surfaces or marble surfaces. Furthermore I create some unique cut lines of dresses and select 4 dresses which I had to go further. Then I create mock of these dresses and then convert into fabric which I want to use according to my theme. I added the embellishment surfaces which I create and give my dresses a final look In first dress I show the happy Pandora world which does not want to be destroyed. Second dress shows the destruction of humans on Pandora. A possessed person can be treated but can also faces death sometimes. But in my case recovery was the achievement. She is perfectly alight now there are many fears in her life but hope she will overcome them. Technique Technique of garments are different surfaces of fabric manipulation that shows different feelings . Basically I just show different feelings through my garment to people there are three main feelings I expressed are confusion of that time ,Pain and Hope and the roughness of everything at that time period. Main reason is to overcome her fear so she can live her life as normal as all did.Item Theater(UMT.Lahore, 2022) NABEEHA IJAZI have chosen Theater as my theme because I was inspired from the elements of arts such as performers, audience gesture, speech, song, music, and dance. Basically, theater has always influenced me because it has always entertained people through ages. Theater performances allow us to see things from a different perspective. We are not alone, as theatre reminds us. In theater we share space and an experience with the performers, but we also share it with rest of the audience. Theater is a live experience that is constantly changing and evolving. Education and literacy are promoted through theatre. Basically, was strongly attracted by colors like red, black that are used in my color palette. Red black always make a good combination. Strong relation with my theme is that I was inspired by these colors and I like to play with black and red colors drama comedy tragedy has always influenced me the strong emotion in which we could not think to cry or to laugh a mixture of twist and excitement what will be the next a piece of joy to entertain people through some unique things like laughter and sorrow I choose theater as my theme because of strong relation with my theme. In Pakistan graffiti art is generally based on cultural images and social massages. Therefore, I was attracted to this art. The beautiful, bold and diverse usage of colors inspired me a lot and evoked me to work over it. The use of hand work to create different art through spray paints, patterns and creating a unique thing with limited resources also brought me an inspiration to work on this art. Graffiti is more than just letters scribbled on a wall to catch the attention of passers-by. It's an entire culture. It is also more well-known in some countries than others. Graffiti can be considered vandalism or "degradation" when it is a random tag on an old wall with no meaning, which can cause a slew of problems and conflicts. Then, based on our research, mood, and concept boards, we must choose a color palette. Before we begin working on the garment, we must first create the pattern and drape it. The show is further divided into three (3) major plots. The first plot enlightens the user about the battle between the lords of Westeros continent to acquire the Iron Throne. The second plot highlights and follows the rise of the mother of dragon ‘Daenerys Targaryen’ and ‘Khaleesi of Dothraki’. The last plot happens to take place in the north of Westeros among the Nights watch, Wildlings and the White walkers. As the idea of game of thrones is majorly based on medieval civil war era, my major focus is to exhibit the strength and darkness of the leading women of allthree houses. Even though the show is based on such a dark age where the role of a women was very distinct to the women of modern age still the show gave out the picture of the women who were strong, battling in war grounds, significantly rulingthe kingdoms in parallel with the roles that completely justifies their existence as mothers, daughters and sisters. This is indeed a real depiction of the kind of women empowerment even the modern-day world is still looking for to channel their progress. In my final thesis collection, I have chosen to focus on a dramatic and extravagant way to show the characteristics of each character using my garments. Heavy materials like brass, wood and metals are used to showcase thestrength and complexity of the characters. Furthermore, to highlight the difference darkness and light I choose colours such as Brown, Charcoal Grey, Red and Golden. The time of the 60s was full of the social, political and the cultural revolutions in which this art movement made its own place with a sacred image of individual representation of soul. Psychedelic art is all about presenting the visions of a person’s choice to make it transformable by projecting it over the screens through art and cultural intellects, mainly representing the inner reality hidden somewhere. This art played a vital role in controlling the depression stress and mood swings of the people through the use of drugs. Later on, into the fashion world it marked a special place through the use of bold images, colors like neon, twisted and distortion of the prints and pattern having the fractal imagery of visibility along with the illusions. I have taken this art as an inspirations for my fashion collection to reflect the mind stages of the human about how and why people face stress and depression and how we can control it without using the drugs. As the world is full of art today, therefore I have also implemented the same artistic influence to create such cut line representing bold figures, bright colors, illusionary cut lines and shapes along with the embellishments as well as the factor of freedom and fear free life is tag lined through my work. The whole process was quite confusing and tough but the effort behind this is to lower the stress and depression of the people through the use of artistic medium apart from the medicines and drugs in order to arise the importance of life and to highlight the factor of knowing the inner strength, value and progress of a person. This is all about the time about how it can be controlled to overcome the emotions, a person will start to feel lighten and full of colors with the new spirit of moving on with a new hope and charm of the life to make if better and worthy.
