Item Representation of Ideal wife Image and Violence against Women (Martial Rape) in Pakistani Drams(UMT.lahore, 2019) Pari JanMedia is a very huge force, capable of shaping the audience's thought process and values. This study claims that gender is a social system and it is defined by certain performative acts; it also discusses the defined features the how a wife should be. This research looks primarily at Pakistani dramas and decides that certain stereotypes and certain attributes that paint the picture of what a wife should be as a good wife are highlighted and celebrated. The purpose of this research is to highlight how the Pakistani dramas are normalizing the violence over women. Attributes, which may not be necessarily, negative, they are depicted as such, since they challenge patriarchal sanctity.
