Item Teachers Resource Center -TRC(UMT, Lahore, 2015) Muna Mumtaz; Tehmina Tahir; Qadr FatimaTeachers Resource Centre (TRC) is an institute that offers services to help and groom teachers according to the requirement of their work place and individual requirements. The institute is currently owned and run by the Cofounders however the institute plans to expand its services within the next year or two. TRC has been founded by Ms Muna Mumtaz, Tehmina Tahir & Qadr Fatima who had gained experience and set their bench mark working in well-known schools. Although they have been providing services free of cost in their work environment and within their social network, efforts have been informal, nevertheless it has filled their thirst to share the knowledge and experience they possessed during spare time. They mutually decided to combine their vigoi and efforts and turn it into a earning prospect they are now prepared to focus on staring a business in a unique and proficient source of income continuing with the teaching and training that pulled them to develop this entrepreneurial idea, to start their own setup since they are well versed and experienced teachers and are willing to share services and monetary investment together, and to provide services to those teachers who need their souls to be saved'. Therefore to strengthen and practically develop this idea they have combined forces. The first step taken to float the idea into practical application is to develop a business plan. The plan will be implemented as an internal source to assist in the business. TRC will operate with overhead provided by the cofounders, therefore presently TRC will not require loan for operation.Item IMPACT OF METRO-MAKRO MERGER ON EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT AT METRO RAVI STORE (PREVIOUSLY MAKRO STORE)(UMT,LAHORE, 2015) Babar Kamal 13022048001 ,Abuzar Ghaffari 13022048002Mergers and acquisitions are corporate restructuring done primarily with the aim of creating value for its shareholders over and above the sum of two companies. Revenue enhancement, cost efficiencies and many other benefits actually compel any two companies to merge thus, creating a synergy, but in practice things can go awry. This study also examines the greater challenges faced by the HR department at Metro after Makro- Metro merger. Conducted at Metro Ravi branch , where HR is has to address various employees concerns like employee engagement , dissatisfaction and demonization ,redrafting policies , division of tasks and many others in the ongoing process of establishing the cultural due diligence. The information was gathered with the help of Employee Survey Questionnaires and interviews conducted for the key executives at Director level to associate level employees of the two merged enterprises. The data collected was then analyzed with the help of statistical tools.
