Item Development of a Functional Adaptive Scale for Children Age 7-12 Years(UMT, Lahore, 2022) Ayesha JabeenItem Assessment and Management of Mental Health Problems in HIV and AIDS Patients(UMT, Lahore, 2022) Tahira HafeezThe study “Assessment and Management of Mental Health Problems in HIV and AIDS Patients” was conducted in three stages and the sample of the study mainly comprised of PLHIVs ( four high risk groups). At first stage two assessment tools, (i) Mental Health Scale HIVAIDS (MSHHIVAIDS) and (ii) Disease Knowledge Questionnaire (DKQ) were developed through traditional method of tool development. A list of 36 mental health problems was finalized and administered to 430 HIV-positive participants to establish the factorial structure of the scale. As a result of factor analysis; four factors (i) Anxiety, (ii) Paranoia, (iii) Elation, and (iv) Depression were identified and Mental Health Scale HIVAIDS (MHSHIVAIDS) consisted of 24 problems was finalized. The Cronbach Alpha Coefficient for MSHHIVAIDS (α=.801) showed significant internal consistency and reliability of the MHSHIVAIDS. All four factors were highly prevalent but anxiety was found to be all-time higher across four stages of the disease. Disease knowledge, age, marital status, adherence were identified as predictors of anxiety, depression, elation, and paranoia. Intervention was carried out on third stage and intervention results pointed out sharing disease knowledge in group therapy as a significant effective intervention in reducing anxiety.Item Effect of NLP and Hypnosis on Psychological Flexibility, Interpersonal Difficulties and Stress in University Students(UMT, Lahore, 2022) Nazish Idrees Chaudhary
