(UMT.Lahore, 2017) Hafiz Hashaam Ahmad; Sajal Faheem; Yasir Ali Khan; Arslan Gul
Transgender community is the most neglected community in our society. They have to face many problems and difficulties starting from their homes and society. They do not get equal opportunities for education, jobs and businesses. They are being discriminated on the basis of their gender. The purpose of this project is to identify the common skills set of the transgender community and how we can help them to enhance their employability. For the purpose of data collection, we have conducted focus group discussions with transgender community to identify the skills set and interview with potential employers to identify the deficiencies in transgender community because of which employers do not prefer to hire them. Transgender people are mostly good in fine and creative work; makeup, cooking, stitching, embroidery, dress designing, acting and dancing. The reasons why employers do not prefer to hire them are; low education level, goodwill, communication and their appearance; their makeup and dressing. To fulfill these deficiencies, KSS will organize and award certifications which are comprised of IT skills for educated people, basic skills; cooking, stitching and makeup for uneducated people and management skills for both educated and uneducated people. These certifications will enhance and validate their skills and will enhance the job opportunities for them. Besides that KSS will also work as bridge between the employers and transgender community to get opportunities for them.

The exploration of the failure factor of wind turbine power projects in Sindh Pakistan is the major concerns of the dynamic changing behavior in the wind generation industry of Pakistan. Pakistan is nascent in the wind turbine power generation with limited numbers of plants in operational. Execution in the coastal area with changing behavior of seasonal effect destroy the synchronism of work breakdown structure and effect the fate of the project. The project faced the issues of cost-overrun, time slippage and barrier in communication which lead towards project failure. After identification this problem, the jury School of Professional Advancement decided to allocate the research topic “Exploration of the failure factor of wind turbine power project in Sindh Pakistan” as a final year project. Research considering the failure factors in the perspective of project management body of knowledge areas, and coastal infrastructure and environmental. Sampling frame of the study is the Wind turbine power projects in Sind of Pakistan. The unit of analysis is the individual experts of wind turbine energy sector. All plants are normally similar with respect to the product (generation of electricity), processes and procedures. The researcher found the five dominant factor which have strong relation with project failure. (1-poor coordination, 2-poor progress tracking, 3-unrealistic budget estimates, 4- non concrete funding resources, 5-lack of communication). Recommendation after exploring failure factors are, PMI RACI tool can be used to overcome the poor coordination, Earned Value Management System can be used for good progress tracking, Top down and Bottom up budget estimation approach can be used for realistic budget estimation, project funding requirement tool can be solved funding resources problem and communication management plan is used to overcome the lack of communication in wind turbine power projects.
