Item A framework for distributed interfaces and resource pooling in android Devices(umt lahore, 2017) Sameer Khalid; M Arslan Riaz; M Junaid AkramThe objective of this research is to provide a middleware which enables optimal inter-device communication, resource pooling, and distributed interface across android devices. The proposed middleware acts as a bridge between different android devices to make resources of one device available to other. Such as GPS IR blaster etc. It also enables distributed interaction of an application from different android devices. Our middleware enables all kinds of android devices to share their resources with each other at an application level by providing the facility to discover, connect, and to enable the communication among devices. As resources are being shared at an application level, the proposed solution enables the application to use the resources of another device as if it belongs to device itself. It creates an ad-hoc network among devices to enable this feature. Those steps are discovering the devices and services, connection over any available connecting medium, enabling resource (hardware resource) sharing, and enabling distributed interface. It has four further modules which includes to discover the device over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi- Direct, discover the services over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi-Direct and to discover the services over any possible medium. The Connection module is used to establish a connection between the devices, and to share the information of devices which are connected. The sending module is used to send data across devices. Sending module have two further modules which includes sending the resource‟s data to and from the devices which are connected, and to share the interface(s) and the interface‟s interactive data among the connected devices. The receiving module is used to receive data across devices. There are four modules Administrator, Customer, Engineer and System. First of all Admin can log-in in the system than view all the details of customer, engineer and can give all updates to customer about complaints and also view resolved and pending complaints. Admin can also add, edit or delete customer and engineer. Customer sign-up and log-in in the system customer can register its complaints and can also view its profile and the status of complaints. Engineer can view the assigned queries and close the complaint and give status to complaint which is visible to admin or customer. When customer registers its complaints system can automatically assign to its relevant engineer by observation of work load balancing and expertise. Despite the substantial advancement in this field, the massive deployment cost of a camera network and limitations of image processing restricts the productivity of this approach when applied at large scale. On the other hand, the evolving trend of smart or context aware environments has led to the proposition of geographically informative systems in which advance tracking technologies are used for collection of quantitative movement data. Individuals within a crowd are observed as profiled users, thus, making it an identifiable crowd. GPS localization [1] and proximity-based [2] tracking has been used to capture complex crowd dynamics during an event. Following the above line of thought, our approach emphasizes on managing large scale events through multilevel contextual information and visualizations. Productive information on crowd condition is attained by performing real time analytics on positional data of individuals in a crowd. The nectar from raw data is extracted by harnessing the power of distributed processing platforms to process large amounts of data parallelly. The generated data is filtered and modeled to ensure the consistency of data coming at high volume and velocity. The other aspect of the project is to simulate crowd dynamics beforehand to predict probable outcomes. For realistic simulation of such events, the approach of Multi-Agent System (MAS) is considered suitable as the agents are expected to move to their goals, interact with their environment, and respond to each other. MAS is also postulated as preferred approach for emergency evacuation simulations [3] because MAS model problem in terms of autonomous interacting component-agents, which is proving to be a more natural way of simulating the unpredictability factor of large crowds. A generic simulator [4] is used for basic modeling of entities in a scenario. The simulator itself is broad in terms of information sources but limited in terms of even-driven activities and behaviors. We have extended and quantified the concept toward immensely crowded events and activities of individuals it comprehends. We advocate a seamless approach to model, simulate, analyze, and visualize crowd situations for actual venue settings.
