During the course of study and fabrication of a small scale prototype, various related literature and statistics were consulted to provide relevant data on which to most effectively design our anti-collision mechanism. The proposed solution was based on the braking distance of a car, which varies with speed and road conditions. After accounting for variables that affect the braking distance, a relation was derived between braking distance and the speed of the car. It was realized that if there was sufficient distance for the car to brake, no collision would occur. Hence the mechanism was based on the fact that the car must maintain a minimum braking distance at all times, otherwise it must either slow down its speed Or come to halt.Item APFC (automatic power factor control) unit(University of Management and Technology Lahore, 2017) Draz Khan, Umar; Ali Faraz, Muhammad; Arshad, Waheed; Iqbal, NidaIn the present innovative insurgency, power is valuable that is the reason we have to discover the reasons for power lose. The venture is intended to limit punishment for modern by utilizing programmed power factor Correction gadget. Power factor is characterized as the proportion of genuine energy to clear power. It can be scientifically spoken to as kW/KVA. Where the numerator is the dynamic (genuine) control and the denominator is the (dynamic + receptive) clear power. Receptive power is the non-working force created by the attractive and inductive burdens, to produce attractive flux. The expansion in receptive power expands the evident power, so the power factor additionally diminishes. In this framework the time slack between the zero voltage heartbeat and zero current heartbeat created by zero intersection identifier circuits. Arduino (mega 2560) use to play out all operation in the framework. Supervisory control and information allegation (SCADA) application use for consequently turn ON and OFF mechanical load and screen all parameters of the heap and supply area. The program assumes control to impel proper number of thyristor from its yield to bring shunt capacitors into the heap circuit to get the power factor till it comes to close solidarity. Facilitate the venture is upgraded by utilizing thyristor control switches rather than hand-off control to maintain a strategic distance from contact setting regularly experienced by exchanging of capacitors because of high in surge currentItem Arduino based protection of 400v/240v costly electrical equipment(University of Management and Technology Lahore, 2017) Talha Zamir; Saad Ahmad; Toheed Asad; Mohsin RiazThe main intention of this project is to design an Arduino based differential protection scheme that can be used for costly household electrical equipment's. The system checks the operating parameters of the appliancelike current and feedbacks it. The system is designed such that it is able to detect the difference in the current values of primary and secondary sides of the electrical equipment and isolate the appliance from the line in case of fault. Zone of differential protection is defined for the electrical equipment. If a fault occurs in the zone the differential protection, it operates the relays isolating the electrical equipmentfrom the healthy system. This isolation process is to ensure that the electrical equipment is safe from any of these differences in current values that can make it to overheat and thus getting it damaged. A Hall Effect current sensor is used in this project as the interfacing instrument between the electrical equipment and the Arduino microcontroller. A relay is used as tripping device to isolate the electrical equipment from the healthy system in case of fault. An LCD is used to show system current readings and indicate cases of differential fault. All these peripheral devices depend on the microcontroller to make them operate. Some of the tools used in this project include Arduino IDE programming software used to write the program for the microcontroller. Proteus simulation software is used to test whether the design works appropriately before its implementation on hardware.Item Arduino BasedPre Paid Energy Meter Using RFID(University of Management and Technology, Lahore, 2015) Muhammad Musa, Baig; Muneeb, Amin; Bilal, Shahid; Israr, AliIn Pakistan, presently distribution companies are collecting revenues from their consumers by metering and billing.
