Item Behind the economic crisis of the Muslim world,(UMT Lahore, 2012) Muhammad Kashif IqbalThe research undertaken was to study the different factors responsible for the economic crisis in Pakistan. All the Muslim countries are blessed with a lot of natural resources which are the backbone of their economy. The Gulf countries possess oil and gas resources which have made their economy very strong. The misery is that these natural resources are captured by the British and America which do not allow them to benefit much from the resources. As far as Pakistan’s economy is concerned, the most important factor of its crisis is dishonest leadership and lack of patriotism. Another internal factor that does not allow the economy to grow is illiteracy as the only and the easiest way to development is education. Beside this, there are some external factors which have crushed the economy of Pakistan. Among them, the most dangerous are India and America. America has pushed Pakistan into war on terror causing irreparable loss of life and property. Its aid is neither delivered nor utilized properly. America is also strengthening India in the Asian region supporting it with the supply of weapons, dollars and technology. Both have also joined hands to capture the natural resources in the Baluchistan province. India in itself has been hostile to Pakistan since its beginning. The hatred kept on growing as India always created problems for Pakistan. The most dangerous act of India is its blocking the rivers flowing to Pakistan. It has built many dams and hydropower projects on these rivers in the occupied Kashmir. This has disturbed the whole canal system of Pakistan giving a severe blow to the agrarian economy. The international powers favor India which has made the situation worse for Pakistan. In such an alarming situation, the economic crisis has gone worst because of bad governance and mismanagement within the state. Corruption has got deep roots and there is no check on it. Lawlessness and unemployment have given rise to crimes. All the politicians and the high officials are found indulged in economic crimes. The national wealth is looted and transferred to their foreign accounts. Unless these faults are overcome, there is no way to progress. If the state plays its role well and checks or minimizes at least the internal factors of economic crisis, Pakistan’s economy can become strong within very short time.Item Daniel pipes’ critique on islam(UMT Lahore, 2012) Sajid Iqbal SheikhHistory of criticism on Islam is as old as the existence of Islam itself. In this thesis Seerah literature of 21st century brought under discussion in which different topics and multidimensional aspects of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) have been presented for the benefit of the readers. Lovers of Muhammad (S.A.W) consider this topic as a noble cause, so the conspicuous effort has been made to make it prominent that Seerah writing is a constant and permanent topic in the present era. The advent of Muhammad (S.A.W) as last prophet of Allah in the world scriptures such as Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, Christianity and Judaism has been mentioned. Challenging the blind following of both the monarchs and church's power and authority it promoted independent thinking and made science and reason the basis of the human society. Introduced into the Islamic world as a movement of tolerance, and free will after Napoleon’s expedition to Egypt (1798) it succeeded in making the Muslims skeptical about their religion, civilization and thought. In fact Islam, a very progressive religion of peace and broadmindedness has an extremely sophisticated inbuilt system of keeping abreast with the evolutionary changes and urges every Muslim to use his intellectual powers, free thinking contemplation and reflection within the prescribed limits. Unlike Christianity there is absolutely no conflict between religion, science and research in the tenets of Islam and its traditional worldview. According to the divine teachings of Islam, education, the enlightenment and attainment of spiritual knowledge or insight is compulsory which frees man from a closed mind and all kinds of dogmas, doctrines and ideologies. This study looks for the Islamic roots of the Enlightenment in addition to tracing its effects on the Muslim thought. The findings of the study indicate that the colonizers of the Enlightenment harnessed Muslims and their resources for their self interests and capitalist expansion and imposed a colonist mindset among the intellectuals and scholars of the era. Despotism, fanaticism, economic poverty, under-development, political social and economic suppression are the by-products of the Enlightenment in the Islamic countries.Item Hindu tehzeeb par muslim tehzeeb kay asraat(UMT Lahore, 2012) Hafiz AbdurrafehItem Khanqahi nizam aur daur-e-hazir ke taqaze(UMT Lahore, 2012) Muhammad Habib IrfaniItem Khudkush hamlay aur un kay Pakistan-o-Islam par asraat(UMT Lahore, 2012) Abdul GaffarTerrorism in the world has become a major and highly destructive phenomenon in recent years. Peace of the world has been destroyed and the atmosphere of fear is every where especially in the third world countries. South Asian region in particular is under the attack of terrorism and suicide attacks are very rampant in this region. Suicide Attacks have very old history and have been used to achieve various kinds of tasks. Pakistan is on the top of the list among those countries that have been the victims of terrorism since the invasion of America on Afghanistan from 2001 to till date. Since its birth in 1947 the Pakistani state has been repeatedly challenged by various groups on the basis of nationalism, regional separatism, religious doctrine and political ideology According to one survey report Pakistan has suffered the colossal financial losses of more than $68 billion or Rs 5036.8 billion in the so called war on terror since 2001. After 9/11 Pakistan assumed the role of a frontline state in the War against terror. The war spread like a contagion into rural and urban areas of Pakistan that has so far, cost the country more than 35,000 citizens, 3500 security personnel, destruction of infrastructure, internal migration of millions of people from parts of northwestern Pakistan, erosions of investment climate, nose diving of production and growing unemployment and above all brought economic activity to a virtual standstill in many part of the country. Suicide Attacks have always been playing a vital role in this context. There are very few incidents in which suicide attacks are lawful otherwise these have been prohibited by every religion. Contrary to common belief in the world that Islam sanctions suicide bombings, in actual fact, Islam holds suicide bombings to be totally UnIslamic. Muslims are not permitted to commit suicidal bombings in order to destroy the enemy. Strapping explosives on oneself and hurling oneself upon the civilian settlements of even those with whom one is at war, for the purpose of destroying the enemy, and in the process killing oneself deliberately, is totally un-Islamic. Islam promotes peace, equality and brotherhood in the world and id against all those that can disturb the peace of the world. In the context of Pakistan many factors are involved in the act of suicide attacks. Super Powers of the World want to divide Pakistan into pieces just because of their hidden objectives. But being an optimist, it is hoped that the circumstances of Pakistan that are fluctuating will be stable in the coming future. The relation between the ruler and the ruled and that between temple priests and worshippers was based on the unqualified submission of the populace to the demand that were frequently atrocious of the Kings and Priests. The revealed religions with their inherent content of moral-living and accountability did slightly mitigate the suffering of the masses, but it was not until the advent of the Rasool Allah (SAWW) and his message Islam. That human rights as ensconced in the Charter/Message of Hajja-tul-wida were placed center-stage and given lynch pin status in communal life of Muslims. Reverting to the scheme of my thesis I have attempted to define orthodox Islam. As a system that radiates round the fear of Almighty Allah. But there was another aspect of Rasool Allah’s (SAWW) life and message that was suffused with the love of Almighty Allah and inbuilt in this radiant concept was the righteous/moral way of life quite simply to please Almighty Allah, The Creator. Sufism/Tariqat or Khanqahi system is founded on this bedrock of love for Almighty Allah and an incessant endeavor to please Him Sufism/Tariqat aims to bring about a positivist change in the motivation, sensibility and thinking of its adherents and transform them into moral beings. This, Then, is the crux of personality development (Character Building) as envisaged in the context of Sufism which is my present thesis. The layout of my Thesis is as follows:- In Chapter one I proceed from an initial discussion of Sufi doctrine and Sufism to presenting its various definitions, history, philosophy and contribution made thereto. In Chapter two I have tried to establish what constitutes personality development and discuss it within the parameters of both current psychological discourse and in the light of Quranic injunctions, Hadith/Sunna. In the concluding third chapter I have taken up the role of Sufism in personality development and have attepted to identify key components from the Sufi doctrine that have been adjudged as being indispensable elements in this regard. Finally, I want to add that I have tried to make my study as comprehensive as possible, but the dearth of relevant material remained a hurdle and any deficiencies here in can be attributed to this factor alone.Item Sahih bukhari mein mazkoor qaal abu abdullah ki rooshni main imam abu abdullah muhammad bin ismaeel bukhari ki ara ka tahqeeqi(UMT Lahore, 2012) Asad MahmoodItem Samaji islahaat fikr- e-islam kay tanzar mein(UMT Lahore, 2012) Sumaria MahmoodItem Sectarianism in pakistan causes, impacts and eradication(UMT Lahore, 2012) Humera RaanaItem Sirah studies in global perspective comparative study of karen armstrong & robert spencer’s work(UMT Lahore, 2012) SYED HASSAN BARI SHAHItem Taleemat-e-Islami ki raushani men gadagari(UMT Lahore, 2012) Safdar Ali KhanItem Tarbiyat tulba main samaji awamal ka kardar(UMT Lahore, 2012) Muhammad Ata Ullah
