Item 3D Carrom board game(UMT, Lahore, 2018) RIZWAN AHSAN, MUHAMMAD BILAL and SHAHEHRYAR BAIGIt is a 3D game called 3D Carrom Board that is developed in Unity. Background graphics are implemented in blender. All the storyboards are attached to this document in Data Flow Diagram section for your consideration. This game will be played on an online platform and can be logged in via face-book as well. Multiplayer’s can engage themselves in a group of two or one-on-one contestants can also be entertained. The players will communicate through a chat box. Participants can suggest players to one another. Moreover, the aspects explored are the skills and techniques required to be successful in the game, the environment that skaters skate in, the personal vs. group identity that is shown through the general appearance of the skater, and the values and icons that the game teaches players.Item AlphaMart(UMT, Lahore, 2018) Mohammad Ali Quiambao Wali, Mian Ammad Akhtar, Muhammad Abdullah Gurmani and Muhammad Ahmed VohraAlphaMart is an online platform in which customers can access multiple stores online in just single system. Customer can easily purchase different products from different stores and can pay via cash on delivery system. The platform not only is provided for one actor, but have different interfaces for each user types. There are separate and unique features for administrator, managers and customer support. In this era of technology, the worth of time is much greater. The worth of time becomes more if we consider it in the run of industry. In industrial run, everything must be on time to achieve the best possible output; also, this can increase or decrease the profit for the industry. So in this thesis, we present the solution, which his named as “E-CART (Smart Cart)”. It is specifically designed reduce human effort. Smart cart can follow the worker by dodging the other distracting things. Smart cart also be sent back by pressing a button to its original position or to the destination when it meets the capacity of load in it. Therefore, there is no time consumption to go with the cart to place it in their position. We just need to change the cart from human following mode to path following mode and place the cart on the desired path. The cart will automatically start to follow that path and get on desired destination. The third mode is RC (Remote Controlled) mode is also available if operator wants to operate the cart remotely. The maximum weight capacity of the cart is 50 kg and it can be upgraded according to our needs. The places where much force is required to do small tasks, such as transfer the load to a specific area, in super markets, industries, warehouses, hospitals, Airports. Smart carts the best option.Item Designing and implementation of mars rover(UMT, Lahore, 2018) Musadiq Mumtaz, Muhammad Adil Aslam and Munir Ahmad KamilThe project introduces the method for to travel from hard and rough surface or on an inclined plane. The problem of creating rocker bogie was harsh surface and rough surface like surface of mars and northern areas. There are two main issues associated with this problem. The first issue is to equip a robot with proper mechanism so that it is able to identify the incline plane or harsh surface in real time. According to different investigations and research report various type of robots are used for this purpose including some specific sensors like, infrared sensors, ultrasonic sensors, and other approaches. Secondly main issue is to control and the robot and specified it a specific beacon so that it follows the target beacon within a certain distance and send alerts message on display. According to verbally point of view it seems to be very simple, but in reality it is a fairly difficult task. This robot is a possibly solution with in an economical price and all accessories are available in market easily.Item Hajj Information System(UMT, Lahore, 2018) Salman Ahmed, Omer Rathore and Zaheer AhmadThe Project is a web based and an android based application. The Web site is a platform for communication between customers and verified travel agents in one place. At the same time an android app provides hajjis with their vital information any time before the hajj and during the hajj. The application can be used as a guide to coordinate and assist hajjis. Firstly, the website is a source of information that any customer can look for intending to go for HAJJ. At the same time the verified agents can have their registered portals to have access to go through various applications. Moreover the agents are able to deal with walk in customers and create their profile and store their whole information online, information particularly includes Entering and maintaining the traveler’s data, Add, delete or update the data, Allocate the traveler residence and transport, Allocate the manager who is going manage the group, Admin can enter all the transactions, Create the complete report of traveler, All the transaction can be on debit or credit card, Transactions depend on transaction code. On the other side the customer can go through his status, payment information, traveling dates, addresses and packages information. Government account can monitor the accounts of travel agents and hajjis. This can create employee’s account which work the same as Governmental account but wouldn’t be able to create or delete account. Android application serve as portable coordinator for hajjis during the hajj with their vital information, Prayer Timings, language User’s guide and GPS guide.Item Indoor robot positioning system(UMT, Lahore, 2018) Syed Abbas Haider Jafri, Irtaza Naseer, Inam Ullah and Asif ShezadThe project introduces the method for indoor localization of an infrared mobile robot based on infrared beacons positioned stationary in the environment. The problem of creating an infrared tracking mobile robot using infrared beacons has been studied by many researchers in literature. There are two main issues associated with this problem. The first issue is to equip a robot with proper sensory devices so that it is able to identify and locate the proper location of robot in real time. According to different investigations and research report various type of sensor are used for this purpose including vision, infrared sensors, ultrasonic sensors, and other approaches. Secondly main issue is to control and navigate the robot and specified it a specific beacon so that it follows the target beacon within a certain distance and send alerts message on display. According to verbally point of view it seems to be very simple, but in reality it is a fairly difficult task. For example, if the target person is in a busy corridor with many people standing and walking, the robot has to constantly avoid other people while following the target. There is still no reported evidence that a person-tracking robot has been implemented that is able to track a person in arbitrary environmental condition.Item Islamic calendar(UMT, Lahore, 2018) Usman GhaniThis paper describes the documentation for an IOS application, this mobile application will include different type of functions such as Islamic calendar, Qibla direction, Prayer Time, Islamic events of the whole year and daily du’a. This app will provide user to transport heavy elements and will provide safe, affordable and secure transport. User will signUp in application which will show Google maps and then it will show the nearest and available driver. The application will show the estimated price of ride. The user will confirm the ride the contact details of driver will be provided to user.Item Local advertisement service(UMT, Lahore, 2018) Wajahat Hussain, Waqar Zafar and Saad MohyuddinThis project "Local Advertisement Service" covers the marketing industry and provides advertisement service on the mobile application. Collection of the advertisements through the camera and description related to that advertisement is to be filled as per the requirements from the respective user. We want to provide a platform for local Community so that they can advertise their products, brands and services through our mobile application advertisement service. We have deployed a customized local Ad server which deals with all the advertisements (e.g. images) on the back end. Advertisements prepared by the mobile app are sent to the ad server. Admin of the system looks at the ads for appropriateness and manually upload the ads to the ad server and finally ad-server places ads on the companion website.Item Low emission economic dispatch in smart grid including renewable energy resources and electric vehicles(UMT, Lahore, 2018) Abdullah Zafar Iqbal and Muhammad Amish ShafiqueAn Economic load dispatch is develop for any power station. With the increasing risk of greenhouse gases, renewable energy resources are more often used. Wind and solar are mostly in service to reduce the fossil fuel cost and to meet the environment protection standards. In this paper, the optimization of fossil fuel cost and reducing the greenhouse gases of conventional power plants is done including smart grid. This problem is solve to obtain optimal power output of conventional power plant and renewable energy resources. We use different optimization techniques to resolve economic dispatch problems. Economic load dispatch in smart grid for one day (24hrs) is carry out in this paper by implementing different optimization techniques such as interior point algorithm, genetic algorithm and pattern search method in order to get the optimal solution. The fuel and emission cost of power station is to be reduce by integrating non fuel and emission less resources such as solar and wind. It’s because of the advantages and benefits of online shopping sites are providing. It saves a lot of time of people who can’t afford to buy time for shopping from their busy schedules. The people who don’t waste their time going out for shopping want to save themselves from much fatigue, can now actually avail the opportunity to shop from online grocery store. Many people say that they prefer online shopping over conventional shopping these days. The project aims to provide people the facility of online grocery application. A Man-Go will allow a customer to submit online order of the items. A Man-Go application will show an online display of all products. This application will allow customers to add and choose products of their choice to their cart and after that the order will get delivered at their doorstep.Item Retrieval of information through fingerprints matching(UMT, Lahore, 2018) Farhad Khan and AbubakarThe passage of time always brought some sort of innovations in human’s life. Along the invention of the Wheel, Electricity and Steam human being introduced many techniques for security purposes as well, among all the techniques the fingerprint comparison is the unique one, which detects every human being’s finger print different from other. Through fingerprints we can determine about the person that has performed some sort of legal or illegal action. Throughout the world with the increasing population and technologies the data and information about these entities is also doubling. The fingerprints is the only ultimate solution to solve a big data problems from the bulky database i.e. NADRA, Airports and Election purposes. The results based on these fingerprints is valid and easy as there are no two persons with the same finger prints in the whole world. In this project we are going to take the fingerprints of a person, we already have some database which is including of a data from different people’s fingerprints. So that the fingerprint is matched with the database one by one. Through the matching score we are able to know about the exact fingerprints person.Item Solar powered spy drone(UMT, Lahore, 2018) Haroon Ahmad, Nofil Akram and Tayyab SaeedAs the technology is advancing, new and improved gadgets are being produced for the betterment and convenience of the people and organizations as a whole. In this era mankind has evolutionally developed in each and every field, we come across new discoveries almost every day. Keeping in view the present security that we require in our country, we took the project to develop a solar powered spy drone. This gadget can be used to keep us aware and well informed before any mishap unexpectedly happens. Moreover, we can take appropriate steps to eliminate it or reduce it to some extent. In this project we used Photovoltaic cells to give our drone some extra flight time, a wireless charging system using QI-Chip and a docking station that can wirelessly charge the drone instead of plug in charger, A GPS receiver which will tell us the exact location of our droneItem Student online teaching app (SOTA)(UMT, Lahore, 2018) M.Qayyoum and Hafiz Waqas ZafarNow in these days study will be modern and many different ways are introduce to cover this modern age of study. It also helps in maintaining the transparency in the education sectorItem The impact of ICT tools such as smart phones and tablets based application incorporating speech assessments and games on children with mild and moderate ID(UMT, Lahore, 2018) Nayyab Noor, Anam Shahzadi and Usama SoomroNow the population increases day by day in developed or undeveloped countries all around the globe same as in our Pakistan too. With this ratio of disabled children increases every year. Those who are intellectual disabled adopt most of the things late in contrast with normal child. Now it’s our responsibility to develop good quality application for intellectual disabled according to their parameter. It is noticed that almost every child is very much fond of with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) gadgets. ICT now plays an important role in the lives of the person of every age group. So, the major focus of our research is the impact of ICT devices incorporating language tones (character modelled), speech assessments, activities and games on the children with mild intellectual disability and moderate intellectual disability. Literature review is the portion below where observation and analysis was done, reasons and categories of disabilities and intervention of ICT techniques for the wellbeing of the intellectual disabled child. Following hypothesis were formulated: 1. ICT tools such as smart phones and tablets would be more beneficent to boost the abilities of child with mild intellectual disability, 2. ICT tools such as smart phones and tablets would be more beneficent to boost the abilities of child with moderate intellectual disability, 3. Pictures of common words with their sounds would be more effective to impact mild intellectual disabled children speech and language development. Overall, application containing video games, characters who speech for the child to come out from boring mood and many more activities. The developed application is deployed on Unity platform.
