Item Identification of Leadership Style on Teachers’ Turnover(umt.lahore, 2015) 1. Nimra Najeeb Gull; 2. James Anwar; 3. Sahar Zia Mughal; 4. Zoha Faiza KhanAbstract In this final term project, the researchers have analyzed the impact of behaviors of leadership style on staff motivation in Lahore Grammar School Landmark Wapda Town, Lahore. They have adopted the multifactor leadership questionnaire for leader and the reflective questionnaire for the staff of the school. Researcher used descriptive analysis in SPSS to analyze the collected data. The results of the analysis show that the perception of the principal is that he has Management by Exception: Active behavior leadership style dominant and in the perception of the teachers were that Management by Exception: Active leadership behavioral leadership style was dominant in principal. The result of leadership questionnaire was then analyzed with the last 3 years turnover rate of employees. The final verdict was that certain behaviors of leadership styles effects the turnover rate of employee of LGS and if the principal depicts Management by Exception: Active leadership behavior style than it is most probably going to be low turnover rate in other schools as well.Item BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN ACADEMIA AND INDUSTRY THROUGH A TRAINING AND MARKET RESEARCH CENTER(umt.lahore, 2016) Arooj Talat Khan; Ishrat Noor; Sidra Hassan; Sheharbano Hussain; Shazia IqbalFrom the past understandings and experiences, many corporations found it difficult to retain people with the accurate skill set, this encouraged them to look for joint ventures with the universities. To Bridge this Gap, we made it feasible the correlation between industry and academia through the implementation of Centre of Industry and Market Studies (CIMS). It is one of our efforts to assemble the industry’s changing demands. It will get both students and faculty members involved. In this project CIMS, we will focus on creating industry based training materials and create a center of attention for both students and professionals to take part in the training on their timetable and schedule. For conducting the initial research, we have adopted both the qualitative (in the form of unstructured interviews). This center will be inaugurated at University of Management and Technology. It is well recognized the major issue is of effective eligible leadership. This paper aims to determine how effective the role of instructional leadership in enhancing the growth of institutions is. Different factors especially climate, epidemic, and economic health of people effects the educational standards of the people. To figure out the extent of the Instructional Leadership Style of the Principals of Private Schools in Lahore, Pakistan, a questionnaire was developed and filled by senior teachers and principals of the institute. A total of twenty-nine individuals were target in the surroundings of Lahore, out of which fourteen were principals whereas fifteen were senior teachers. The results portrayed great importance to the role of leader i.e., Principal, for enhance the reputation of an institute, better services for both students and employees producing better academic results along with enhancement in the revenues generated by schools. On the basis of the results generated by the input given by the senior teachers and principals themselves there is a dire need for an effective leader, Principal to run the operations of the school effectively through better planning, forecasting, strict evaluation, and implementation.
