Evaluating and updating uncertainties during the whole project duration has become an important part of the project management even for smaller companies. In commercial market (International) best and major source of milk is cow, where as Buffalo full fills domestic needs. This feasibility report has been conducted for Dairy Milk construction forms with the objectivity of increase in production of per cow milk by the help of advance technology, effective, efficient and state of art management facilities. A unique blend of technical skills is better to attain economies of scale. Feasibility report shows projects initial cost of Rs. 192,195,710/- which is further divided in to initial Capital Cost and Initial Working Cost which are Rs.178,323,750 and 13,871,960 respectively. Attached Projected Income Statement shows the payback year of the invested project is approximately 4.32 years.Item The role of organizational culture in Efficacy of earned value management of software development projects(UMT.Lahore, 2016) Usman MasudAs we know that Project Management has become a vital field of academic research from last two decades and an internationally recognized project management tool earned value management which is used for measuring the progress of projects. This thesis deals with the role of organization culture in efficacy of earned value management of software development projects. This study examines the role of organizational culture in efficacy of earned value management of software development projects through a questionnaire based survey from project managers in leading software development organizations of Lahore. Findings indicate strong positive relationship between organizational culture and efficacy of earned value management. Also efficacy of earned value management have relationship with all the dimensions of organizational culture; communication, collaboration, involvement, learning, transmission of information, strategic direction, reward & incentive system, coordination and integration, care about clients and system of control dimension.Furthermore, Efficacy of earned value management dependency on strategic direction dimension is the strongest as compared to other dimensions of organizational culture. So, the strategic direction dimension of organizational culture is the most effective ones. Pakistan is nascent in the wind turbine power generation with limited numbers of plants in operational. Execution in the coastal area with changing behavior of seasonal effect destroy the synchronism of work breakdown structure and effect the fate of the project. The project faced the issues of cost-overrun, time slippage and barrier in communication which lead towards project failure. After identification this problem, the jury School of Professional Advancement decided to allocate the research topic “Exploration of the failure factor of wind turbine power project in Sindh Pakistan” as a final year project. Research considering the failure factors in the perspective of project management body of knowledge areas, and coastal infrastructure and environmental. Sampling frame of the study is the Wind turbine power projects in Sind of Pakistan. The unit of analysis is the individual experts of wind turbine energy sector. All plants are normally similar with respect to the product (generation of electricity), processes and procedures. The researcher found the five dominant factor which have strong relation with project failure. (1-poor coordination, 2-poor progress tracking, 3-unrealistic budget estimates, 4- non concrete funding resources, 5-lack of communication). Recommendation after exploring failure factors are, PMI RACI tool can be used to overcome the poor coordination, Earned Value Management System can be used for good progress tracking, Top down and Bottom up budget estimation approach can be used for realistic budget estimation, project funding requirement tool can be solved funding resources problem and communication management plan is used to overcome the lack of communication in wind turbine power projects.Item Business plan for a construction company ‘craft constructions’(UMT.Lahore, 2017) ABRAR AHMAD; MATEEN ASLAM; MUHAMMAD SHABBIR; SAAD UR REHMANItem Enhancing the employability of transgender community in lahore(UMT.Lahore, 2017) Hafiz Hashaam Ahmad; Sajal Faheem; Yasir Ali Khan; Arslan GulTransgender community is the most neglected community in our society. They have to face many problems and difficulties starting from their homes and society. They do not get equal opportunities for education, jobs and businesses. They are being discriminated on the basis of their gender. The purpose of this project is to identify the common skills set of the transgender community and how we can help them to enhance their employability. For the purpose of data collection, we have conducted focus group discussions with transgender community to identify the skills set and interview with potential employers to identify the deficiencies in transgender community because of which employers do not prefer to hire them. Transgender people are mostly good in fine and creative work; makeup, cooking, stitching, embroidery, dress designing, acting and dancing. The reasons why employers do not prefer to hire them are; low education level, goodwill, communication and their appearance; their makeup and dressing. To fulfill these deficiencies, KSS will organize and award certifications which are comprised of IT skills for educated people, basic skills; cooking, stitching and makeup for uneducated people and management skills for both educated and uneducated people. These certifications will enhance and validate their skills and will enhance the job opportunities for them. Besides that KSS will also work as bridge between the employers and transgender community to get opportunities for them.Item Identifying the problems Associated with establishing New factories in the industrial estates of Punjab industrial estates development and management company (piedmc)(UMT.Lahore, 2018) Raheel Safdar; Kashaf Saleem; Rabbia KhalidThis study has been initiated to evaluate the fundamental controversies and threats confront by Industrialist while setting up their factories in PIEDMC.(Punjab Industrial Estate Management And Development Company). Public-Private partnership is the utmost essential shaft and a leading driver of the expansion of national economy. In contempt of symbolic input to the economy, this sector continues to face assertive hurdles. This study is anticipated at expanding the competency of the Documentation process in PIEDMC Industrialization is a key driver for any country to boost the economic condition, social uplift, employment generation and poverty alleviation. Keeping in view this vision, the Punjab Government has set up Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC). PIEDMC develops industrial estates and provide state of the art infrastructure including roads, drainage, water supply, sewerage system, electrification network, security system, rescue 1122, grid station and amenity areas. PIEDMC provides facilities to the industrialists including sale of developed industrial plots, building plan approval, transfer, electricity connection, water connection and complaint registration of the industrialists. This research intends to find out the issues industrialists face when the setup the industry in the industrial estates of PIEDMC. The individual industrialists who are currently operating in the industrial estates and the other industrialist who are the prospect clients were interviewed once with non-contrived study settings and minimal researcher involvement. Focus group discussions were carried out with the management to get the point of view and for validation of the findings. Since the research was qualitative, Nvivo software was used. After thematic analysis through Nvivo different queries and analysis were performed. Based on the Nvivo finding it was observed that the issues industrialists were facing were of two categories. There are issues which are directly related to PIEDMC called “internal issues” and the issues where PIEDMC is not involved are called “external issues” these issues were mapped, nodes were created and the number of coded reference were recorded. Mostly they were satisfied with the services being rendered by PIEDMC but they reported issues of high plot prices, labour transportation, drainage system failure in rainy season, fiscal incentive, missing amenity areas. Largely they were not satisfied with the services provided by other government departments they need even if they set up the industrial unit in the industrial estates of PIEDMC. These departments are Environment Protection Department (EPD), Punjab Employees Social Security Institutions (PESSI), Employees Old Age Benefit Institution (EOBI), Revenue Department, Industries Department etc. PIEDMC does not provide services to deal with these departments and has no authority to regulate them. The industrialists have to deal with these government departments to get approvals or register the industrial units which cause the waste of time and even then they are not facilitated accordingly. It is recommended that there should be a policy framework to regulate all the other government departments involved. PIEDMC should be given authority and a One Window Center should be housed in the PIEDMC. PIEDMC representatives should be the interface between the industrialists and other government departments. All services (approvals or registrations) provided by other government departments should be offered under one roof. Through automation of the system, applicant should be able to check the current status any time. All services should be provided with defined timelines and process flow. This will increase the transparency and accountability, minimize the costs to applicant, effective, efficient and corruption free service delivery.Item Exploring the delays factor of dawood wind power project by descon engineering(UMT.Lahore, 2018) Habib ur Rahman; M Saqlain Ali; Fatima AzharThe objective of this study was to explore the factors of delays in Dawood wind power project by Descon engineering. This study was based on qualitative research. The data for this research was collected through semi structured interview that was conducted with the employees of Descon who were actively involved in this project. The respondents were interviewed individually and after that software NVIVO 12 was used to analyze the data and find out the factors of delays. The themes and dimensions were created and with the help of it correlations were made between these themes and dimensions. Three main themes were found (1) logistical issues, (2) lack of staff experience and essential certification and (3) uncontrollable factors. The findings of this study explained that how each factor is correlated and lastly this study laid out some suggestions related to the factors.Item Air filtration technology(UMT.Lahore, 2019)Air purifying tower is a modular system, energy friendly and ionization technology that can purify the polluted air in a dusty environment. The tower works in a simple way it sucks polluted air and filters it in a friendly clean environment. So, what do we do with the polluted air, we accumulate? We can create awesome and unique designs of the plants or towers that can suck polluted air and emit fresh and healthy air for us to breath in a clean environment. Each plant (Tower) contains the things that can purify thousands of cubic meters of air. So, we find an idea from green world to filter and purify the air and to live a healthy lifestyle in a modern way. Air pollution is harmful to humans, animals, plants and the nature as a whole. Air pollution poses a serious risk worldwide. Towns and cities are choked with smog and dangerous emissions, which are damaging both the environment and the health of global populations. Thankfully, we're closer to solving the problem than ever before. The necessity of the modern era that, something can save humans through fresh and clean air. The tower allows people to breathe and experience what clean air is in a city really means. We planned to install a single tower in our country where pollution ratio is higher and there our team will assess the progress of the purification and the audience will be called to feel the difference. We believe we should do more, not less, and make modern cities livable again. Qualitative research method from different types of methods is selected for research. In depth interviews were conducted in this regards from five (5) employees of Shams Power; individuals which were directly involved in this project. Data collected from these employees was analyzed with Word Cloud, Cluster Analysis and Thematic Analysis through which different themes including Health Safety and Environment policy restrictions, Improper Planning, Lack of Competent manpower availability, Organizational Culture, Procurement and Environment were developed. This study suggests Shams Power to change its existing working practice and to synchronize with international practices of project management. This also includes suggestions to improve its employees work effectiveness by providing different trainings as per their job descriptions. As this study is totally evolve around Shams Power (Pvt) Ltd, therefore results of this study cannot be generalized overall.Item Exploring the factors associated with project failure at albario engineering pvt. It focuses mainly on the reasons found behind the failures of different kind of projects. This study was conducted with the data collected from oil and gas refineries. Specifically, Shikarpur Oil and Gas refinery. The purpose of this study is to help companies to perform better in their projects. This type of study with this scope is important for the professional development of a project manager so that he/she keeps all these aspects in mind. Critical narratives of project management make this field diverse and this can be used anywhere effectively Qualitative method of approach was used to conduct interviews and the interviews were kept (semi) structured. The findings of this research show that there are three main aspects which affect the project performance; cost, time and scope. The reasons figured through our methodology are; project size, economic terms of a company, impartial expectations of client and insufficient planning.Item Exploring the delay factors of integrated energy project by dynamic green limited(UMT.Lahore, 2019) Abdullah Farooq Ansari; Muhammad Haseeb AhmadThe objective of this study was to probe the delay of factors in Dynamic Green (Pvt) Ltd at sumandari which was company’s first Integrated Bio Gas and Solar Project. Qualitative Research method was adopted for this study. Through semi Structured interviews data collection was conducted from Five respondents of Dynamic Green (Pvt) Ltd who actively involved in this integrated project. The data was analyzed through using a software name as NVIVO 11 which depicted us the factors of delay. We approached word cloud and thematic analysis through which themes identified factors for causes of delay were communication gap, Improper planning, incomplete documents, poor organization processes, stakeholders’ conflicts, isolation in-between project coordinators, unskilled labor, procurement issues, and vendor selection. The objective of this study is to identify and proffer solutions through the identifications of delay causes, their effects on project delivery. For this purpose, Qualitative methodology used to analyze. This was achieved by carrying analysis of the literature and carry out a interviews/protocols among project manager involved in construction project and collecting their responses. The following response analyzed by NVIVO. Thematic analysis used in this study and revealed multiple delay causes and effects in projects. The following results indicate that stakeholder identification, planning management, communication management, procurement management, and non-technical faculty members, are the most critical delay causes of project in this study. These delay causes lead the project time overrun, cost overruns and claims. Recommendations after exploring failure factors are, Experts judgment should engage to overcome planning problems and stakeholders identifications. Stakeholder’s management plan can overcome problems between project key stakeholders. Communication management plan can be used to overcome lack of communication in constructions projects. Timely availability of material at site can overcome problems of procurement department. Pakistan is the country with vast natural and cultural resources that can be used for sustainable tourism. It is estimated by the Federal and provincial government that tourism will add US$7.1 billion to the overall national economy till 2025 therefore this sector must be taken into consideration. It is seen that these areas are still lacking the basic facilities including health and safety, cleanliness, proper road and sanitation system etc. The hotels present in these areas are not up to the mark. Some of the good hotels present there are demanding more than the economical price for the single night to stay. The local and international tourist visiting these areas always demand basic equipments for the recreational activities like hiking, boating etc which is not readily available. Security of the tourist is another issue as these areas doesn’t have any medical camps, first aid services or the emergency services available at the blink of eye. Keeping in view the these problems, we can done a research in this regard. This research is generally focused on the improvement of the tourism facility in these areas. For that we have conducted a feasibility analysis for the construction of glamping pods resort in the area of Kumrat, Pakistan. A detailed questionnaire was filled by the tourists and the travel agents to get an insight of the demanding facilities and services by the tourist. These demands are taken into consideration and we are looking forward to meet these demands in this tourism facility. Regarding this particular problem identify the research gap there are many researches on sustainable entrepreneurship and construction industry but no research has been done to sustainable entrepreneurship with regard to eco friendly home renovation. The research was qualitative and unit of analysis was individual. Semi structure interviews conducted in the area of Johar Town, Lahore, Pakistan to collect data and made their transcript and by NVIVO thematic analysis finds the results. Most of results were people face difficulties to find renovations services, current service providers are not providing quantity services and also people are not well aware of eco friendly solutions regarding home renovation. This paper aims to assess the feasibility of replacing the conventional red clay brick, which is the building block of construction and very environmentally unfriendly, with cellular lightweight concrete blocks on a national scale in order to preserve the environment and make the entire industry greener. Interviews have been carried out to gauge consumer and builder awareness and inclinations showing that there is plenty of opportunity and a vacuum exists in the market for innovative and sustainable alternative solutions. The number of ageing seniors (65 and over) in need of a community- based coordinated care programme that can provide caregivers with respite while simultaneously ensuring continuity of care for their ageing loved ones is steadily increasing in this metropolis. According to market research on Islamabad's ageing population, the city today has 10,602 residents aged 65 and over, with roughly 1,590 of them at risk of institutionalization. Furthermore, according to market research, this city does not have a licensed adult day-care facility. Therefore, Pur-Sakoon has the potential to enter the adult day-care market and establish a community-based adult day-care in the city of Islamabad. Pur-Sakoon is an organized activity programme for older people who need 24-hour supervision or who are alone and lonely in a professional care setting Seniors can impart and take an interest in coordinated exercises in a social environment while as yet getting indispensable medical care through our association.
