(University of Management and Technology, 2014) Zainab Javed
Facebook is becoming gradually an important social network site among people's life, with rapidly growing users globally, majority being youth of the society. This study was undertaken to explore Facebook addiction among youth. A survey method was conducted at three universities and three workplace to find out the Facebook addiction level amongst students and job-holders. Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale (BFAS), a self-report measure, was administered to 184 participants recruited from different universities and workplaces. BFAS comprised of 18 items covering 6 core dimensions of addiction: salience, tolerance, mood modification, withdrawal, and relapse. The findings of this study were that every 3rd person was found to be an extreme user of Facebook or Facebook addict. Moreover Facebook was found to affect mood of the participants who become unable to remember their individual private issues and are vulnerable to anxiety, guilt, depression and restlessness. Students were more Facebook addict than job-holders. Also they had more conflicts (Facebook creates clashes in relations, job, studies, hobbies and leisure activities) than jobholders as they latter experience practical life busy in their job and family. Males reported significantly more Facebook addiction than females among students although among job-holders, both the sexes were equally involved in the use of Facebook.

Resilience, Sense of Self-Efficacy and Psychosocial Issues in University Cricketers
(University of Management and Technology, 2018) Zainab Javed
This study examines the relationship between resilience, self-efficacy and psychosocial issues among university cricketers. Indigenous scale Psychosocial Issues among University Cricketers (PSIUC) was developed whereas other both scales were adapted. The sample was comprised of 180 university cricketers, selected through purposive sampling with the age range of 19-26 years (M=22.37& SD= 1.87). Correlation shows that there is no relationship of psychosocial issues with self-efficacy whereas negative relationship with resilience was found. Results shows increase in psychosocial issues whereas decrease in resilience however self-efficacy doesn't seemed to be developed among participants as it was western adapted scale and not culture specific. Hierarchical regression analysis revealed that less experience and lack of self-determination indicates more psychosocial issues in university cricketers. Implications of this study is that it can be helpful for researchers in future for further exploration. Workshops and awareness programs can be arranged for cricketers as there is a dire need of counseling of cricketers, to manage their issues that can't be discuss publically

    UMT E-food ordering system
(UNIVERSITY OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY, 2015) Suleman Amjad; Awais Ahmad; Zainab Javed
The idea of this project is to develop an online food ordering system for use within the campus that will allow the faculty members to quickly order food in just a few clicks. Currently, the food is ordered through telephone or by sending office boy to the café. Due to the immense rush in the café, especially at peak hours, manual ordering system doesn't run smoothly. Orders are either delivered late or wrong food items are delivered. This wastes a lot of precious time of the faculty. E-Food allows faculty staff to choose food from the menu provided on the web page. Menu for lunch will be dynamic where as menu for breakfast and snacks will be static. After selecting the item, they can enter the room number where order will be delivered. This will save them from the hassle and time wastage on phone and while waiting for an office boy to be available in time of need.
