Item Analysis Of Islamic Law And Comparison Of Religions(UMT, Lahore, 2022) Adnan Faiz; Ahsan Iqbal Khan; Umar FarooqA main point of this study is the focus on a system of Islamic law which claims universal applicability, even more, a law for all times. The Shar’iah is a code for Muslims that covers all parts of life. It is pertinent to all circumstances. It oversees individual and social relations and as such is professed to be applied, to numerous degrees, the whole way across the Muslim world and past even where Muslims reside as minorities. Be that as it may, a worry, with supporters and doubters of the framework, stays the sensibility of an overall set of laws soaked in a particular authentic and, surprisingly, relevant setting, in social orders and climes in from one side of the planet to the otherItem Analyzing the Effectiveness of Alternative Dispute Resolution(UMT.Lahore, 2024) Shahid Munawar Zaheer; Zahid Hussain; Rashid Ashraf; Umar FarooqThis thesis argues that Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms have become an important component of Pakistan’s practice for handling disputes due to their ability to relieve pressures on the formal judicial system and improve people’s access to justice. The use of Alternative dispute resolution methods like mediation, arbitration, and conciliation plays substantial recognition for offering a more efficient, less expensive, and less aggressive technique of resolving disputes than regular court action. Thus, applying the case study methodology, this research examines Alternative dispute resolution’s implementation and effectiveness in the context of the Pakistani legal system, comparing and assessing the existing legislation, judicial and party approaches to the use of alternative dispute resolution in various kinds of trials, commercial, and family and community trials being among the most common ones. This paper aims to review the literature on alternative dispute resolution including its associated theory and analyze the extent to which the desire theory is applied in the Pakistan legal structure. It looks at the comparative position of Pakistan’s alternative dispute resolution laws to other legal systems to establish similarities and differences as well as the areas that need improvement. Besides, the research evaluates awareness and acceptance of alternative dispute resolution by the public and institutions, which examines the tests and paradigms that come with particular strategies or approaches to alternative dispute resolution and its effects on legal processes. In light of the study information derived from empirical data, it will be possible to examine the crucial issues of alternative dispute resolution in Pakistan, as well as the stakeholders’ satisfaction with improved implementation of alternative dispute resolution, informational awareness, access, and procedural fairness. The thesis is concluded in the last chapter based on the findings of the empirical studies by providing recommendations to improve the outcomes and accessibility of alternative dispute resolution in Pakistan. These recommendations concern changes to legislation and rules, training and development programs for legal personnel, and measures to increase the public’s understanding and acceptance of alternative dispute resolution. This thesis adds to debates on enhancing the effectiveness of Pakistan’s adjudication systems and legal changes to promote fairness and efficiency of alternative dispute resolution by presenting a theoretical review and drawing upon evidence in comparative studies.Item Black magic and Islam(UMT, Lahore, 2021) Umar FarooqItem Image processing using deep learning(UMT.Lahore, 2020) Ameer Hamza; Umar FarooqEntertainment industry is the most emerging and promising field of the time in which competition is increasing with every day. Kid’s content of entertainment covers a sufficient part of industry’s revenue. Different kinds of cartoons and animated shapes are the basic need of kid’s content to capture their attention for every new cartoon series. A professional artist is required in order to make new cartoons which is time consuming and quite expensive. To tackle the aforementioned problem we are presenting an artificial intelligence based solution to generate different types of cartoon without involvement of man force, which is challenging and valuable in computer graphics and computer vision. Recent research showed that GAN (Generative Adversarial Network) produces the cartoon with highly visual fidelity and have achieved great success. GAN based methodology provide automatic cartoon generation. The deep generative networks have exhibited a remarkable capability in cartoon generation. An approach for GAN’s Latent vector optimization to generate more realistic cartoons is introduced in this research. The dataset used for this research has been taken from kaggle to train our model of GAN as it requires a lot of data to learn. Moreover, an adversarial learning technique is presented to simultaneously to train a generator and parallel discriminators, The evaluation of objective of proposed method demonstrate the following results proposed framework produced more realistic results by comparing the state-of-art and ground truth.Item Paws Envy(UMT.Lahore, 2025) Umar Farooq; Abdul Manan; Fasih ud din; Ehitsham Imtiaz; Muhammad AhmedPet ownership is increasing globally, creating a demand for accessible and efficient pet care management solutions. PetsEnvy addresses this challenge by offering a unified mobile and web application that streamlines pet care. Leveraging AI, Paws Envy provides intelligent diagnostic tools and personalized recommendations, empowering owners to proactively manage their pets' health. The platform integrates essential services, including appointment scheduling, a service provider marketplace, lost and found pet reporting, and a community forum, creating a connected ecosystem for pet owners, veterinarians, and service providers. Developed using Flutter and React, Paws Envy prioritizes user experience and cross- platform compatibility. This project aims to enhance pet well-being, improve access to quality care, and simplify the pet ownership experience, particularly in growing markets with limited access to digital solutions.Item Reduction in rejection rate of garment at master textile through implementation of six sigma(University of Management and Technology, 2014) Umar Farooq; Adeel Ahmad; Saad Ahmed; Iqbal NisarDue to global competition it becomes impossible for an organization to earn profits without reducing the rejection rate of the manufactured products. Rejection rate of any product plays a very important role for customer satisfaction and financial conditions of any company. Rejection rate causes a direct effect on profit margin of a product and decreases the quality of a product. Therefore the companies are struggling to reduce their rejection rate during the process of manufacturing through different quality tools, checking and inspection during different operations and implementing changes and strict quality checks where more defects are produced. High rejection rate of garments due to different number of defects during sewing is the major problem faced by Master textile mills. This project is very important from industry point of view because high rejection rate is creating customer dissatisfaction and financial loss to organization. Reduction in rejection rate is the project in which it is successfully attempted to prompt-out root causes along with a number of factors by adopting Six Sigma methodology. It was decided to implement DMAIC methodology in sewing department where high rejection rate stitched garment was recorded. This research presents a comprehensive study which focuses on the implementation of Six Sigma. The main aim of this study is to introduce DMAIC process of Six Sigma. The problem was identified practically in garments manufacturing industry in research. It was then measured to identify the extent of the problem so that it can be eliminated or reduced. Potential causes of problem was identified in the analyze phase. Finally, a pilot production run was made in order to make sure that the improvements being made does actually work and in control phase the work being doni previous phases properly implemented and sustained for providing the desired results. The statistical work for the project was done using Microsoft Excel 2010 and Smart Draw .After that an optimum solution was suggested along with the areas of improvement which reduced rejection rate and provided a significant financial benefit.
