Item Design and development of a cost-efficient indigenous wearable chair(UMT Lahore, 2025-09-19) Abdullah Bin Masood; Ahmad Ali Shoaib; Muhammad SaadThis project focuses on the Design and Development of a Cost-Efficient Indigenous Wearable Chair to reduce muscle fatigue. The need for exoskeletons arises due to an increase in muscle strain, musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), and reduced activity, especially faced by the majority of assembly line workers, medical sector individuals, etc. These static positions can lead to muscle fatigue, lower back pain, and reduced efficiency. Existing seating solutions are costly, massive, or heavy; there is no cost-efficient exoskeleton readily available in the market. Studies have revealed benefits including improved efficiency, focus, reduced strain on muscles and joints, better posture, and enhanced comfort. The design has straightforward mechanics, with no wiring and little weight, and locks into position to rigidly support the user. It consists of a metal channel under the thigh constructed out of a square tube, which has bearings inside it connected to the mid-link to provide smooth oscillatory motion. The model was built out of stainless steel and analyzed in ANSYS 2015, which showed that the model had a total deformation of 0.101 mm and a maximum Von Mises stress of 58.015 MPa, very low within the yielding stresses of the material. The computational factor of safety was over 3.5, which indicates that the design was structurally reliable, and the protective margin was more than adequate.Item A diagnostic study of the organizational structure and performance appraisal system alignment at paklite group of companies(University of Management and Technology, 2016) Mubashir Malik, Maria; Qaiser, Milha; Muhammad SaadThe purpose of this study was to identify the underlying problems in PakLite and recommending preeminent solution to cater the need of organization through and Organization Development (OD) intervention. Lahore, 2025) Rana Shabahat Qamar; Muhammad Faizan Jamil; Muhammad Arslan; Muhammad Saad; Abdul Salam ChandioGeosynthetic-reinforced soil (GRS) abutments are commonly used in bridge construction, retaining walls, and highway embankments because they are strong, flexible, and cost-effective. One of the most important things to consider when using these structures is how much they might settle, since too much movement can affect safety and how well they work. Traditional models for predicting settlement often make too many simplifying assumptions about how the soil interacts with the reinforcement, while more advanced methods like finite element modeling are accurate but need a lot of time, skill, and computing power. This study uses a machine learning approach called Gene Expression Programming (GEP) to predict how much GRS abutments settle. The researchers used a dataset with 354 experimental observations, where the goal was to predict settlement, and the inputs included factors like surcharge pressure, soil friction angle, reinforcement stiffness, vertical spacing, abutment shape, and the angle of the facing. The GEP model performed very well, with a testing score of 0.91, an RMSE of 5.53, and an MAE of 3.09, which shows it agrees closely with the actual experimental results. Additional checks using separate data confirmed the model's reliability. A sensitivity analysis also showed which factors had the biggest impact on settlement, giving useful guidance for future design improvements. This research shows that machine learning, especially GEP, can be a fast and dependable alternative to older methods for predicting settlement. It supports a more performance-based and data-driven approach in geotechnical engineering.Item Road rage car racing(UMT, Lhr, 2018) Muhammad Arslan; Asad Maqsood; Faran Abid; Muhammad SaadGames have become an integral a part of existence for today’s generation. A standard game typically presents a state of affairs where players have interaction in a man-made conflict design, which is outlined by rules and leads to a quantitative outcome. Such artificial conflicts are typically delineated as a puzzle or a challenge, and having the puzzle solved or the challenge resolved provides a real-world purpose to the sport players. This sort of games is typically spoken as “serious” games. However, this type of ancient or serious games has been progressively replaced by electronic games, particularly for the questionable game generation. This generation generally consists of digital natives, who, in distinction to the digital immigrants of the older generation, grew up taking part in a great deal of games and who trained in skills reminiscent of dealing with giant amounts of data quickly even at the first ages, mistreatment other ways to urge info, and finding solutions to their own issues through new communication paths. The artificial intelligence (AI) community has witnessed the same transition from the “classical AI games” reminiscent of Samuel’s Checker Player and Waterman’s Poker Player to the up to date AI techniques adopted in electronic games. The target of the sport isn't any longer a quantitative outcome of beating the opponent in an exceedingly checker or poker game. Instead, a recent game contains ever-changing environments, multiple objectives, and dynamic aspects of the sport that are unconcealed to the sport player as the game unfolds. The target is to supply to the human player a pleasant and exciting feel through his or her interaction with the sport, and this doesn't involve any specific quantitative outcome. The game Road Rage may be a up to date computer game, and its objective is to supply the player a difficult and pleasant expertise in an exceedingly auto race against a game-controlled automobile. Though the player’s goal inside the sport is to win the race against the game-controlled automobile, the AI techniques adopted within the game are primarily designed to present the player a pleasant and exciting time in his or her automobile.Item Sufism(UMT, Lhr, 2019) Muhammad SaadBackground: While it is sometimes misunderstood as a sect of Islam, Sufism is a broader style of worship that transcends sects, directing followers’ attention inward. The Sufi practice focuses on the renunciation of worldly things, purification of the soul, and the mystical contemplation of God’s nature. Followers try to get closer to God by seeking spiritual learning known as tariqa. Sufism is a mystical form of Islam, a school of practice that emphasizes the inward search for God and shuns materialism. It has produced some of the world’s most beloved literature, like the love poems of the 13th-century Iranian jurist Rumi. Its modern-day adherents cherish tolerance and pluralism, qualities that in many religions unsettle extremists. Inspiration: In this modern world as everyone is so busy in his life and believes that money, possession, physical comfort, and many more that happens are more important than the spiritual value of life. We forget that what happens to us is not because of our ideas and plans but are our rewards as god blessings. Our egos make us imagine that we are the cause of action. We need to control our arrogance and vanity because what God gives us he can also take away in a flash. As Sufism teaches that we can see beyond the veils of darkness which envelopes our belief systems. One who sincerely devotes himself or herself to a program of Sufi training may eventually approach the state where one can “see things as they truly are” when one can “worship God as though you can see Him”, and when can truly realize that one is “in the world, but not of the world”. For many people in the modern world, it may seem that such teachings are alien to their culture or are a thing of the past – if indeed they ever existed! Others may instinctively recognize that their destiny lies in the unfolding of these teachings in their lives, but are faced with overwhelming difficulties in finding a trustworthy and authoritative teacher who can show them the way out of the darkness. Being healthy does not imply to show happiness. Happiness can be defined as a state of mind free from anger, sorrow, fear, that wealth cannot purchase. For example, in this materialistic world man money and time also to spend the time according to his choice. On one side he may enjoy what he wants in his life as he spends money according to his choice but on the other side if he passes through some kind of tension, at this particular stage he will face total failure even if he spends a lot of money. At this particular stage, we become more spiritually mature, and the desire for god increases. The inspiration of my thesis is the idea that I wanted to have a closer look at Sufism and dig a little deeper to my extent and try as a lot of beautiful patterns and compositions can be created once we jump into it. Whirling dervishes and Arabic quotes have always fascinated me and I want to bring it all out on the fabric. Sufism is a pure and deep form of love which according to me should be praised, also by bringing it more into life by connecting design and art and different sorts of embellishments to it. Objectives of the Project: The main objective is to create patterns and compositions inspired by mysticism. The aim is to use my experience developed throughout my degree program and use my skills in developing Page 9 of 60 beautiful designs and work with them to explore my creativity to the utmost. Countless textile patterns can be created using this inspiration for making these patterns. Sufism has an extremely strong impact on society and the viewer as it draws them towards spirituality. Sufism has a striking and impressive look as it makes you feel captivated and cozy at the same time. The thesis will involve: • Firstly, developing designs using digital and manual textures and patterns. Basic preparation and color management will be done. • Secondly, colors most prominently used will be bold as in shades of maroon, black, and beige. • Thirdly, the patterns will include Arabic writings and whirling dervishes. Plan of Work: My work will include a step by step procedure that will be both concept and research-based. After carrying out the research I will develop research boards and mood boards for my theme that will include various inspired Sufi patterns. A color palette will also be developed. Then I will do initial sketching for motif and pattern development. Repeat patterns and other methods will be used for design creation. Further, the colour application will be done. Both, Photoshop and manual design development techniques will also be used; which includes the use of mixed media techniques for the manual purpose. All the work will be displayed from portfolios to end products in a display session. Expected Outcomes: All in all, the eventual product line creation will visually highlight the inspiration gathered from already existing Sufi scriptures or art. I will communicate my idea through my product range and self-expression for the fulfilment of my thesis aims and objectives. The scope of my work will help protrude my idea of mystical designs. Expectantly, prints will be developed for home furnishing. A wide range of prints will be produced for home textile products, for example, sofa, lampshade, and cushion prints. As a result, Sufism influenced designs will emerge as captivating yet cozy and contemporary home textile products.Item The Ideorama: Marketing Agency(UMT.Lahore, 2024) Muhammad SaadThis thesis aims at exploring the Ideorama - a content marketing agency focused on helping new content creation agencies for yielding content across the internet for example, YouTube, blogs, and Instagram, among others.
