Item Implementation of an end to end full duplex communication system over an ultrasonic carrier(University of Management and Technology, 2009) Fahad HassanThis project aims at implementing a synchronous data communication system using the ultrasonic waves as carrier. The ultrasonic waves enable to overcome the problem of interference due to the external audio sources, which can be quite a nuisance if ordinary sound waves are used. The input to this system is from keypads and the output is displayed on a liquid crystal display (LCD). Any input to the system is encoded in a scheme, and then it is modulated and transmitted through the wireless medium. When this scheme is received, it is demodulated and data is decoded and is displayed. The digital data is transmitted using modulation and demodulation techniques for efficient utilization of the communication channel. For this reason Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) modulation and demodulation techniques have been chosen. The modulators and demodulators of this scheme have been designed. For reliable communication, a simple protocol is implemented which handles synchronization between either ends of the system.Item Patient information management system(University of Management and Technology Lahore, 2017) Usama Nasir; Ali Hassan; Rahma Ashfaq; Fahad HassanHospitals are the essential part of our lives, providing best medical facilities to people suffering from various ailments, which may be due to change in climatic conditions, increased work-load, emotional trauma stress etc. It is necessary for the hospitals to keep track of its day-to-day activities and records of its patients, doctors and other staff personals that keep the hospital running smoothly and successfully. But keeping track of all the activities and their records on paper is very cumbersome and error prone. It also is very inefficient and a time-consuming process, Observing the continuous increase in population and number of people visiting the hospital. Recording and maintaining all these records is highly unreliable, inefficient and error-prone. It is also not economically and technically feasible to maintain these records on paper. So keeping the working of the manual system as the basis of our project, we have developed an automated version of the manual system, named as “Patient Information Management System”. The main aim of our project is to provide a paper-less OPD (Out Patient Data) up to 100%. It also aims at providing low-cost reliable automation of the existing systems. The system also provides excellent security of data at every level of user-system interaction and also provides robust and reliable storage and backup facilities. Basic functionalities of our project includes Consultant portal, Patient Portal, Admin portal, Book Appointments, Add prescription. Except these, previously stored data and prescriptions can also be viewed. Patients, Consultants and Clinics can register into our system. Guest users can search for doctors and their clinics.Item Patient information management system(UMT Publisher, 2017) Usama Nasir; Ali Hassan; Rahma Ashfaq; Fahad HassanHospitals are the essential part of our lives, providing best medical facilities to people suffering from various ailments, which may be due to change in climatic conditions, increased work-load, emotional trauma stress etc. It is necessary for the hospitals to keep track of its day-to-day activities and records of its patients, doctors and other staff personals that keep the hospital running smoothly and successfully. Through a combination of interactive gameplay and educational content, the project aims to demystify coding concepts, nurture logical thinking, and develop problem-solving skills. The objective is to create a dynamic and enjoyable learning environment that sparks the curiosity of young minds, fostering a love for coding and setting the foundation for future technological literacy. 'Python Coding Playground' is more than just a game; it is a stepping stone toward empowering the next generation with essential coding skills in a fun and interactive way.Item Software size estimation application(UMT.Lahore, 2016) Fahad HassanItem Software size estimation application(University of Management and Technology Lahore, 2016) Fahad HassanThis project was initiated to provide an online web portal that would help in reduction of errors by providing clear and concise information about any project's key deliverables and the total effort required to build software according to different perspectives. The key deliverables of this project are Adding and updating a project, modularization of project, task allocation to different teams, effort required for different module and effort of teams, which is made up individuals and the total of all the modules and teams effort cumulating to the project's total effort which can be viewed according to hours, days and weeks. The targeted audiences for this project are software project managers and the teams working under them. The scope of this project is that it is currently restricted to classical SDLC methodologies.Item A study on re process models for offshore software development(TextRoad Publication, 2014) Bilal Hassan; Muhammad Usman Akram; Shahid Bhatti; Fahad Hassan; Jawad BashirIncreasing trends of cheap and quality software development have raised a great interest in offshore software development. Sub continental software houses are much cheaper than the European or American market. Due to cultural social and linguistic differences the requirement gathering has become difficult for offshore software developers. In this study the requirement gathering issues for offshore software houses are investigated and then the standard requirement engineering models are compared with each other according to different metrics and a comprehensive survey among the sub continental software engineers is carried out to suggest a proper requirement engineering model according to the nature of the project.
