Item Broken relations and navigation of mother ship(UMT, Lahore, 2019) Ali HaiderHow do you leave a mother who associates her life’s meaning and fulfillment to you and your achievements, without breaking her heart? How do you surrender all your passion to a lover while leaving some for the woman who gave birth to you, reared you, and loved you? This paper analyzes D.H. Lawrence’s semi-autobiographical novel Sons and Lovers which displays the pendulum of a young man’s love swinging to-and-fro from his deep bond with his mother to his passionate relationships with his lovers. It is a fragile pendulum that slowly cracks and inevitably breaks. It is a beautiful account of a man who is unable to choose which impulse to follow. The situation is picked up from Lawrence’s life itself, and as Jessie Chambers, the girl on whom Miriam was based, describes, it was simply that while loving his mother with an almost romantic passion, he had nothing left to give to a lover. A careful study of this text by Lawrence shows us an extreme case of Oedipus complex. Since Paul was a baby, Mrs. Morel treated him in a special way that had led in time to a pretty tight bondage between them. The mother-son love pushes the normal limit of familial affection, becoming almost erotic.Item Car Vibe(UMT, Lhr, 2023) Muhammad Waleed; Ali Haider; Areeba Mubeen; Noor IsmailNow a days use of vehicle are the important part of our life, every day people travel from one place to another by using public transport or by their own vehicle. There are multiple sources for obtaining SAF and one of them is tobacco. This study aims to find out how feasible is the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel from Tobacco in Pakistan and what are the practices adopted around the world for the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel. Methodology – This research is a mix method using both primary and secondary data regarding the tobacco growth in Pakistan, Annual fuel consumption of aviation fuel in Pakistan, Processes involved in the production of fuel from tobacco and different environmental initiatives in the aviation industry was collected through different online sources like websites of ICAO, IATA, reputed journal articles and official reports from OGRA, Government of Pakistan etc. This data was analysed with the current policies of the aviation industry in Pakistan. Interviews of farmers were also recorded in this study. Findings – Tobacco can be used as Sustainable Aviation Fuel. Aviation Fuel. Stems and leaves have been analysed for sugar contents and they have sufficient quantity of sugar to produce bioethanol on commercial scale. According to estimates 143,100 thousand tons of SAF can be produced in Pakistan which accounts for 17% of the total aviation fuel used in Pakistan. So, tobacco in Pakistan is sufficient for 5% of blending in the initial stage. This will also provide tobacco farmers an alternative as they are under pressure from health authorities. This will help Pakistan in import substitution of fuel. Aviation industry aims to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2050. For this reason, ICAO has devised a plan named Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA). The three staged program aims to reduce emissions. Pakistan is not a member of carbon offsetting initiative. Research Limitations - Due to access restrictions it was not permitted to visit the biodiesel plants near Lahore. On the other hand, due to lack of time and technical support different varieties of tobacco in Pakistan could not be tested. PCAA, Airlines and Airport’s perspective could not be obtained due to time limitation. Originality - Till date no such study has been done on the production of sustainable aviation fuel from tobacco in Pakistan. This study is based on the data available from various online sources.Item Formula carparts(UMT Lahore, 2022) Ali Haider; Shaharyar SohailIt is an E-commerce platform for customers and sellers on which they can easily buy and sell used car parts. Ahtasham ArifDrones have a wide range of applications such as agricultural drones, delivery drones, aerial surveillance, and 3D mapping, which is a famous research topic nowadays. Developing low-cost solar-powered drones is still a challenging task in engineering. This work is focused on designing a drone that operates with solar power. Normally, drones have a large battery which increases the cost and weight. Solar-powered quadcopters are available in a different selection of designs. Solar-powered drones can fly forty-eight times longer than battery-powered drones. Long-variety flight exams investigated the effect of solar power oscillations on the plane's energy consumption. Under perfect conditions, solar cells in quadcopters outperform batteries. In case you need to fly for the long term, you need a LiPo battery that lasts for 2 to 3 hours. A flight controller is the most important and expensive part of a drone. The strategy used in this work is to reduce the overall cost of the drone by designing a low-cost flight controller for the quadcopter. To analyze and design the control of a quadcopter, dynamic modeling is an optimal way to represent the system mathematically. In this thesis, an approach to model the quadcopter mathematically is discussed. It uses SolidWorks analysis to formalize the dynamic model of drones. The output equations of the dynamic modeling are used to create a simulation environment for the drone to compare the results of a real drone with a simulated drone. After the complete design, aerodynamic and stability analysis was carried out using software, which showed that the desired results were achieved, and the design was statically and dynamically stable.Item Technology Acceptance Model in Evaluation of Urban Mobility Services:(UMT Lahore, 2022) Umair Ch; Ali Haider; Zain NasirIntelligent Transportation System has been evolving with the key concept of smart cities.
