Item Narration of “you” season(UMT.Lahore, 2022) Anum RiazThis study is all about the impact of language which drags adults toward violence, and darkness. It talks about the behavior of students and how it gets changed after watching such a series. The new generation is quite different; they get attracted and motivated by daring things. They watch season for entertainment but they don’t have an idea that the language of such seasons are convincing them toward negative moves. They want to see the whole season as soon as possible, and they find themselves in the energetic zone. They feel curious to know what will happen next and those dialogues which impact on them they start using in their daily conversation. This causes the adult students to disregard other aspects of their lives, such as social connections and academic obligations. Series like ‘YOU’ start brainwashing of adults. Similarly, Joe uses and feeds his toxic obsession using social media and other technology to track the presence of the girl he loved and remove obstacles to their life. This greatly impacts students who are in their teens and are influenced by this love story. Joe's intrusive and insidious actions implement the constructs of an idealistic love relationship, raises additional questions about the ethics and potential consequences of manipulating circumstances, as well as how the way of stalking, murder, and abuse is best summed up by Joe's character. So, student life is all about believing in love, especially true love so this badly impacts their academic studies as well as social life lacking digital privacy. I use critical discourse analysis on text to show the power of language.
