Item Application of lean manufacturing in the finishing department(University of Management and Technology, 2014) Sheheryar Riaz; Iram Azhar; Abdullah, Muhammad; Haroon ArifPakistan economy is dependent on the textile sector and according to recent survey Pakistan GDP is consist of the 25 percent of the industrial Area.. The cotton of the Pakistan is known worldwide and Pakistan is the main manufacture of cotton and the Pakistan export is normally depend on the textile sector and they contribute 2% for the world trade. The textile is drive from the Latin word its mean the making of garment process all the steps [1] Textile industry mean the four process in which firstly we are moving on the spinning process in which the cotton is collected in the form of bales and after that cotton is open and clean through the blow room process then sliver is made, then this sliver is go through roving and ring frame. This is the overall proess of yarn making After making of yarn the next process is start is which two optionshave first one is to making the fabric through weaving and second step is that to die the yarn. Then fabric is made and the garments section is start which has many steps starting from planning to dispatch [2] Fabric has two type on is weave and other one is knit the weave fabric is use in the denim industry and shirt industry and knit fabric is use in the stretch able things like T shirts and socks etc.[3]
