Item Workplace ostracism, identity threat, coping responses and mental health in employees(UMT, Lahore, 2025) Alvina Shaheen; Bushra Zafar; ShanzaThis study aimed at finding the relationship among workplace ostracism, identity threat, coping response and mental health in employees using a correlational research design. The sample size was N= 252, recruited using a purposive sampling technique consists of males (n=126), female (n=126). To measure the desired variables following scales are used, workplace ostracism (William, 2007), identity threat (Mailys, 2023), brief cope (Carver, 1997), and Depression Anxiety Stress (Lovibond, 1995) were used to assess the desired variables. Data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 21. Pearson Product Moment Correlation, Linear Regression analyses along with t-tests were run to test the hypotheses. The findings indicated a significant positive correlation between workplace ostracism, identity threat, active avoidance coping, problem focused coping, positive coping, religious denial coping and mental health. Furthermore, workplace ostracism, identity threat, active avoidance coping are positive significant predictors of mental health in employees. T-test analysis was revealed that there is no significant differences between males, females, teachers, and bankers in mental health problems. Results were discussed through previous literature and implicated in understanding and resolving mental health issues in employees.
