Optimization of milk collection network by using transportation/network model

The objective of this project is focused on bridging the gap between costs and routing problem simultaneously by forming effective and efficient route of milk collection network for dairy processor in Punjab province Pakistan. It investigates the potential and feasible solution to legitimize the expenses. Since milk is perishable in nature, we must handle it with care to keep its nutrients. The assessment of available fleet of vehicles their routes and schedules, involving vehicles with various limits and different costs because all vehicles must finish their visits inside a predetermined time span. Network analysis is carried out to ensure cost effectiveness. The total demand is shared to suitable vehicle with specific route. A milk collection system comprises of various milk collection centers located at different places and at different dispatch points furthermore, plants. The result of economic feasible study shows that, time, distances and cost can be reduced by development of optimized routes
