Item Allama Iqbal or Syed Modoodi k tasawur e ryasat ka taqabli mtaliya(UMT, Lahore, 2020) Sajid AnwarIt is a fact that the two-nation theory was a very effective and timely needed ideology in the subcontinent. It was the strength and power of the ideology that attracted the Muslims of India to it. When Muslims were in power it was not a problem either because they had no hatred feeling for Hindus and the people of other religions of Indian. The non-Muslims were always been safe and the lives of individuals were secured in all aspects by Muslims in their regime. They had the freedom to live their individual and communal life freely; they were never forced to convert to Muslims’ religion ever. Their places of worship were safe and they had every kind of social protection. The war of independence 1857 was fought by both Muslims and Hindus together and both wanted the British expulsion from India. But history narrates that after the failure of the independence of movement; only Muslims were subjected to atrocities of the British in the subsequent. In the later years, both the British and Hindus turned against Muslims and butchered them. The two nation theory which came into existence right after it became the soulful soil of the concept of Pakistan. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Syed Maududi, Allama Asad, Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanhvi, Liaquat Ali Khan and other prominent leaders had the same feeling that an Islamic state should be attained where the principles of Islam to be implemented. It was the sincerity of their visions that the independence was achieved eventually.
