Item Perfectionism, self-concealment and imposter syndrome in university teachers(UMT, Lahore, 2024) Saliha MoazzamThe main purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between perfectionism, self-concealment and imposter syndrome in university teachers. A correlation study design was used and a sample of 100 participants (Males = 48, Females =52) of mean age 34 years (SD=6.35) was selected through multistage sampling technique. The measures used in current study were a demographic form, perfectionist tendencies scale for university students (Masood & Naeem, 2021), self-concealment scale (Javed & Jabeen, 2018), and Clance imposter phenomenon scale (Clance, 1985). The results yielded that perfectionism had significant positive correlation with imposter syndrome (.24*) and self-concealment (.29**). Likewise, significant positive correlation (.34**) of self concealment was found with imposter syndrome. However, no significant gender difference was found in imposter syndrome in university teachers. Moreover, nuclear family system was found as a significant negative predictor (β= -.28**) of imposter syndrome.
