    “Comparison of Water use per passenger at AIIP with Three international Environmental conscious Airports and measures to reduce water use”

    Water usage is an important part in Airport because water supply in airport meaning water supply in a whole city. The water consumption and sustainable water management strategies are important concern for an airport. This study examines the total capacity of water at Allama Iqbal International Airport. The main aim of this study is to examine the water consumption per passenger at AIIP and its comparison with three International airports. we compared water consumption per passenger of AIIP with the consumption of Kansai International Airport, Copenhagen International Airport, and an Airport in Turkey. Moreover the measurements of reducing high consumption of water for each airport have also been discussed. The data for AIIP is available for 2017 and below which we took into account in our study. Data is collected from AIIP department’s interviews, published sources, websites, Wikipedia, and annual environmental reports. Allama Iqbal International airport sourced its water from two storage tanks which has the capacity to save 5lac gallons refilled after every two days. The whole airport premises use water from these two storage tanks. The airport has implemented various water saving initiatives, such as Water Purification System, to reduce water consumption. To mitigate environmental risks and impacts on soil, water, and local communities; the quality of drinking, ground, and surface water are regularly monitored
