    The Mediating effect of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Social Progress Index (SPI) between Population and Global Hunger Index (GHI)

    In this research, we propose a model to explore the factors causing Global Hunger Index (GHI). The model studies the role of Population in predicting GHI while incorporating FDI and SPI as mediating variables. The data set for the analysis based on these variables are taken from on line World Bank data sources. The Hayes’ Process version 13 mediation tool and model 4 is selected to perform the Multiple Regression Analysis. The results indicate “Partial mediation effect” when FDI is taken as mediator between Population and GHI. There seems to be “Full mediation” when SPI is considered as the second mediator between Population and GHI. The proposed model satisfies the regression assumptions.
