Item Study of impact of indole acetic acid induced chelated zinc application on the growth attributes of the maize plant(UMT Lahore, 2023) AYESHA ALI; AROOSHA ZULQARNAINOptimization of growth and development of maize plant has been obtained by utilization of Chelated Zinc in combination with the phytohormone along with NPK fertilizer. This thesis delves into the role of nutrient management by use of different treatments including different concentrations of chelated zinc with NPK and IAA to be applied on the seven sets of pots, each with 3 replicas. The seven treatments applied to the soil with maize seeds sowed produced different results based on their efficiency and the recorded growth parameters were subjected to ANOVA analysis in order to find the best treatment and to check the influence of IAA induced chelated zinc for better agricultural practices. The analysis for all five growth attributes showed that the treatments were significant with small p-value and HSD value exceeding the pair wise difference and it was observed that treatments with chelated zinc at 15mg/ 480g soil and IAA+NPK present in them produced the best results followed by the treatments with chelated zinc at 15mg/ 480 g soil with NPK and least growth was recorded in control with no zinc at all. The conclusion of the study emphasized on the significance of known nutrient management measures with the proof that chelated zinc with the influence of phytohormone upgrades the growth and yield of maize plant.
