DEVELOPING A SUSTAINABLE RESILIENT FRAMEWORK FOR ORGANIC FOOD SUPPLY CHAINS IN PAKISTAN

This research focuses on organic food supply chains in Pakistan. The research highlights the need for supply chain accuracy in the organic food sector. The organic food industry is fast growing industry, especially among youth. In this study, all supply chain actors of organic food, like the farmer, processor, wholesaler, retailers, and consumers, are analyzed as The organic food industry is real-time in nature. Due to this organic food supply chain faces a lot of disruptions. Disasters like floods, earthquakes, famines, heat waves, pandemics, epidemics, tornados, volcanic eruptions and climate change cause disruptions in organic food supply chains. These natural disasters also can produce differences in demand and supply.
