Design and development of autonomous firefighting robot

Firefighting has long been a very dangerous domain, there have been many devastating losses. Furthermore, the methods which are being used are inefficient, inadequate and they completely rely on humans, regardless of the extent and their formation and training, due to the lack of technological advancement. Robotics is the emerging solution in many fields and it has solved many problems of humans as robots can perform tasks with more accuracy which humans cannot perform. Now, robots are being used instead of humans in managing fire risks. The main reason is that robots can go anywhere and different materials can be used to insulate the robot to work in a high-temperature atmosphere. In this project, a robot is developed that is capable to locate and extinguish the fire on its own. Moreover, it can navigate and it avoids any obstacle in its path. The robot can also be remotely controlled by an operator using a Bluetooth connection. It will allow the operator to operate from a distance without risking human life.
