FROM ADVERSITY TO ACTION UNDERSTANDING THE LINK BETWEEN SOCIAL BARRIERS AND CHILD LABOR IN RURAL NANKANA SAHIB

The following study explores the issue of child labor which is deemed as the major cause of different problems that hinders the economic development in Pakistan. This research delves in forming a relationship between the pillars of economic growth such as education, population spurs and child labor. The study is conducted through a random sampling methodology where the data is collected through tailored questionnaires where we gathered data from a diverse sample of 384 individuals from general public of Rural Nankana Sahib, circulated among the populous and then the results being subjected to a precise SPSS analysis which provides us with the relevant findings. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the variables of overpopulation, Financial Constraints and child labor. The findings are essential for enriching the existing literature review and will help in future policy making endeavors.
