Item IMPACT OF SMOG IN LAHORE AND PUBLIC HEALTH CONCERNS(UMT, Lahore, 2022) Danial NasirSMOG is a particularly dangerous type of air pollution that has lately been designated a public health emergency in Southeast Asia. This study will describe the negative effects of smog pollution in Punjab and how they affect human health. Since a few years, smog has become Pakistan's most pressing issue. Smog has been affecting practically all areas of Pakistan particularly Lahore, since 2011. When a dangerous environmental event like smog occurs, the conclusion may be riskier than the event itself if people act irrationally due to a lack of relevant understanding. As a result, examining people's attitudes and reactions to pollution is both theoretically and practically important. high rates of pollution from unregulated industries and a significant number of autos on the road all play a role in the rise of deforestation to build new roads and the burning of crop waste has recently added fuel to the fire. Due to a shortage of public transportation, the number of vehicles has increased by 9% in the last five years. This resulted in a regulated patient burden in hospitals and clinics due to acute respiratory ailments, visual irritation, and infections that were inhabited or were moving to the city. Eyes burning, heavy breathing, sneezing, wheezing, and a severe cough were the most common signs and symptoms. The cardiovascular system is also harmed by smog. Smog has no acceptable limits because even fine ozone particles are harmful. Although ultraviolet radiation protects the ozone layer from damage it acts as pollution at ground level and its long-term high ground level can permanently damage lung tissue.
