Item Exploring the Role of Teachers in the Process of Gratitude(UMT.Lahore, 2018) Ariha KhanItem Exploring the Role of Teachers in the Process of Gratitude Development in Early Childhood Education.(UMT.Lahore, 2018) Ariha KhanA phenomenological study conducted to explore the understanding of gratitude among early school children by teachers and the development of gratitude behavior among students through school education. Qualitative research method was used for this study. By using phenomenology as strategy of inquiry in-depth interviews were conducted from the teachers of private primary schools of Lahore. The school divided in three categories in term of fees and four schools were including in each category. Twelve respondents were participated in this research study. Finding indicated that gratitude is about to say thanks, to be grateful, to be pleased and to acknowledge the favors by Allah and people. Gratitude plays an important role in child personality development. Gratitude behavior minimizes complaining behavior and people that have gratitude feeling and expression are satisfied with their life. The role of teacher is very important in developing gratitude behavior in young adolescence. So they develop different class and school activities for practicing gratitude behavior in young adolescence. Maximum teachers indicated that they faced difficulty for developing gratitude in early primary school students and minimum teachers indicated that they did not face any difficulty for developing gratitude behavior in their students.
