Item The potential of barren soil of punjab to cultivate olive and its impact on gdp of pakistan(UMT Lahore, 2022) Hassaan Ahmed Khan; Kashif Umair; Abdul Manan SaeedFarm of Olive Tree is a recognized commercial farm located in the Potohar area of north eastern Pakistan. The planned project is for Olive Farming on a 50-acre plot of land. Growing olives on fifty acres and with contemporary farm management methods may be a profitable venture. Olive cultivation and marketing is a project that entails growing olives and supply them to the process market and oil processors. Extensive market research was made to obtain adequate lands on which to establish Olive Tree Farm. Our farm will be a conventional commercial operation, which means that we will be engaged in commercial olive cultivation, oil processing, and packaging. As a result, the gear and equipment to be purchased are also recommended based on the forecasted future production. Olive tree cultivation is a lucrative enterprise since olive trees survive for more than 250 years and may thrive on desolate ground. On average, an olive tree produces between 20 and 35 kilograms olive fruits each year, each of which contains more than 20% oil. The olive fruit may be sold in the market for between 100 to 200 rupees per kilogram, while the olive oil can be sold for between PRs. 700 and PRs. 3,000 per liter, depending on the type and quality of the oil. Olive farming on fifty acres with contemporary farm management methods can be a profitable venture. It is advised that property be bought in the rural regions specified. We have developed strategies to assist us in establishing a conventional olive oil processing facility during the first six years of operating Farm of Olive Tree. We want to process and pack olive oil in such a way that it will flood the market in Pakistan and around the globe. The planned units would extract oil from olives and sell in the local market. The units will extract oil from olives by centrifugation. Oil will be available in three sizes: 0.5, 1.0, and 4.0 liters. The projected initial cost for establishing an Olive Cultivation farm is 50.93 million rupees. The project is made to be funded using a 50/50 mix of loan and equity. The project's net present value is estimated to be roughly 21.11 million rupees, with a 25% IRR and payback time of 4 years. Because olive trees begin bearing fruit at the age from 5- 6 years, the first 4 years' expense will be considered pre operating also included in the capital cost. Each processing plant would have a capacity of 200 kilograms of olive per hour, producing fourth liters of oil under ideal circumstances & 57,600 liters of virgin olive oil per year based on 2 months of working (1,440 hours, working in three shifts a day). In following decade, a total of 30 facilities will be erected. The planned Oil Extraction of olive Units need investment of 462,143,227 rupees, including PKR 459, 957, 8561 in fixed assets and PKR 2,185,372 in working capital. The project's Net Present Value is 281,801,919 rupees with a 39 percent internal rate of return and payback time of 6.5 years. The reason for this is because in addition to acquiring the essential farmland, we have also engaged numerous important personnel who are presently receiving training to suit the ideal twenty-first century commercial olive farm and production facility workforce that we are building. The initiative will employ 20 workers at the head office and three plant operators and three assistance at each processing unit on a season basis. In addition, two permanent guards will be employed for each processing site. With past expressions or education in a comparable business sector, an entrepreneur might anticipate a higher return on investment and continuous expansion of the firm. We are establishing the olive tree farming business because we want to leverage the vast opportunities available in the commercial farming industry to contribute our fair share to the growth of the Pakistan economy, national food production, raw material production for industries, agricultural exports from Pakistan to other countries, and profitably. Farm of Olive Trees. Is well-positioned to become one of Pakistan's top olive farms, which is why we have been able to get the finest personnel and farm equipment to administer the farm. We have implemented techniques that would enable us to follow best practices in olive tree growing, as mandated by Pakistan's regulatory organizations. XYZ owns Farm of Olive Trees, XYZ will fund the farm cum company entirely on its own. Prior to founding Farm of Olive Tree, XYZ worked for many of Pakistan's biggest commercial farms and olive oil processing companies; he has a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Science from the SU.
