Measurement of intrapreneurship tendency in higher education faculty

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to measure the intrapreneurship tendency in higher education faculty. This study was descriptive in nature. It measured the perception of university teachers about intrapreneurial tendency with respect of gender, qualification, age, locality, and their teaching experiences. The population of the study was both public and private HEC recognized universities of Lahore Pakistan. The researcher delimited the study to city Lahore Pakistan. The universities were selected by using simple random sampling technique in the domain of probability sampling. Two universities randomly selected from the list of HEC recognized universities from each sector i.e. public and private were as sample universities. Data were collected from the 200 university teachers who were available and shown their willingness to provide information. The questionnaire was developed for the collection of data by the researcher. The quantitative data was analyzed by using SPSS version 21. The data was analyzed by computing mean values, independent samples t-test and one-way ANOVA were used to compare the mean differences for the quantitative data. Linear Regression test was used to see the effect of organizational factors and individual factors on intrapreneurial tendency. The result of the study revealed that university teachers have moderate perception about intrapreneurship tendency among higher education faculty. It also found that there was no significant difference between Demographic Variables on the basis of organizational factors (gender, age, experience) and on the basis of individual factors (gender, locality, age, experience) and university teacher’s perceptions about intrapreneurship tendency. On the other hand, there was found significant difference between Demographic Variables on the basis of organizational factors (locality, qualification) and on the basis of individual factors (qualification) and university teacher’s perceptions about intrapreneurship tendency.
It was found that organizational factors and individual factors had significant effect on intrapreneurship tendency.
