Abstract
Project managers are under increasing pressure to show funding agencies why their projects are
valuable. However, most programs lack a strong mechanism to realize this strategic value.
Although it is recognized in the literature that project governance is essential to facilitate the
realization of benefits, there is little empirical data in this area of research. In light of this, this
study explores the links between successful project governance, benefits management, and
project outcomes
