Abstract
History of mankind is the history of war. Mankind since inception has always tried to live in peace by fighting wars. Same is the case with Pakistan, since inception Pakistan fought its first war in 1948 in Kashmir sector with India. Since then there has been many wars between the two rivalries. India since the division of subcontinent never accepted Pakistan and has always tried to either imbalance Pakistan or malign it in front of world through its cunning politics. Pakistan had no option to counter India other than to compete with it in term of language which India understands that is the language of arms and weapons. Pakistan being a very small state is still managing to keep world's sixth largest army just to counter India. Now that both countries are nuclear States the chances of having a full-fledged war has almost finished but India has resorted to means which are more devastating than war that is insurgency in Pakistan. Since 9\11 Pakistan is the most terrorist hit country in the world. In this research, data from the two leading journals including IPRI and ISSI is analyzed under the umbrella of the thematic data analysis. Irrespective of the work which Pakistan has done in war against terror international community is still not satisfied with its efforts which is a big dilemma? Pakistan has faced more casualties in terms of life and money in war of terror than 1965 and 1971 war and the 9/11 event itself. The principles of interest and identity is from the theory of social constructivism is discussed in the paper, and the main concern is the major threats to the military of Pakistan. Pakistan military has conducted operations which international community accepts as miracles. Recently Khyber 4 has been launched as a final nail into the hearts of terrorists. Pakistan military is trying its level best to bring peace into the country, but it cannot be done alone unless political community doesn't sincerely gives it a dedicated effort to support Pakistan. Pakistan has faced many difficulties since inception but due to the will of the people and the strength of its military it has overcome all of them. Terrorism is also at the verge of being eliminated from our country but the need of the hour is to make politics which make sure than sovereignty of Pakistan is the top most priority and such menace should never be allowed to enter our homeland.
