| dc.description.abstract | This research paper discusses the language teachers’ use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in urban private school of Lahore with a particular emphasis on improving the quality of language teaching. The sample of the study is taken from the middle and senior school language teachers. It focuses on the internal factors of influence on teachers use, or lack of use, of technology in the classroom. Moreover, the discussion attends to the technological literacy, pedagogical expertise related to technology use and the motivating effects of ICT on teachers. These factors are discussed in the light of significant infrastructure and other external issues. It concludes by drawing out a number of academic implications for initial teacher education and professional development to bring schooling within developing contexts. | en_US |
